As a frequent guest of The Cheesecake Factory Riyadh, I always hoped this would stay one of my family’s favorite spots. My kids (10 and 6 years old) loved it and kept asking to come back. Sadly, after the same frustrating experience happened twice, I feel obligated to share this.
Both visits, we placed our orders, waited patiently while my hungry kids tried their best to stay calm, only to discover — after I had to speak with the manager — that our orders were never placed. The reason? A mysterious “system error.” Meanwhile, we watched other tables, who arrived later and ordered similar dishes, receive their food long before us. Apparently, watching others enjoy their meals while you’re waiting is part of the dining experience here. Each time, the only response was the same: “Sorry.”
This last time was especially upsetting because we arrived at 10 PM, planning to be done before 11 PM so the kids could get to bed on time. Instead, we got the extended Cheesecake Factory “test your patience” package. Nothing like watching two hungry, exhausted kids grow frustrated while they stay up late — not because of any delay they caused, but because their food was never even placed in the system.
And the cherry on top? This was supposed to be my daughter’s birthday celebration — the restaurant she personally chose. The staff knew it was her birthday. Apparently, The Cheesecake Factory Riyadh offers a unique birthday package: no food, no celebration — just the joy of sitting at your table, watching everyone else eat while you get repeated apologies and zero solutions. Very innovative. My daughter may not have had dinner, but at least she got to blow out the candle on her disappointment.
For a brand as big as The Cheesecake Factory, this level of service — especially on two separate occasions — is unacceptable. As much as we loved the food, I cannot recommend this location to any family looking for a reliable, enjoyable...
Read moreVisiting The Cheesecake Factory was an amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for a treat. Despite a 20-minute wait at the beginning, their professionalism stood out. They efficiently managed the crowd and sent a message precisely within the promised time, which was impressive. Once seated, the service was exceptional. The staff was well-trained, friendly, and attentive, making sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. Their professionalism truly enhanced the dining experience. Now, coming to the food—every dish was prepared to perfection. The flavors were beautifully balanced, and the ingredients tasted fresh. Whether it was the appetizers, main courses, or their famous cheesecakes, everything was simply delicious. The variety on their menu is remarkable, catering to different tastes and preferences. The ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall experience. The warm lighting, elegant décor, and comfortable seating made it a great place to enjoy a meal with family or friends. Despite being a busy restaurant, the atmosphere remained pleasant and inviting. Of course, no visit to The Cheesecake Factory is complete without trying their signature cheesecakes. Each bite was rich, creamy, and absolutely delightful. With so many flavors to choose from, it was hard to pick just one! Overall, The Cheesecake Factory exceeded expectations in every way. From professional service to perfectly balanced flavors, it was an experience worth repeating. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food and a...
Read moreLet me start by saying the restaurant's ambiance is absolutely beautiful—an ideal spot for a date night or a birthday celebration. It's elegant, and the waiter serving our table was genuinely pleasant. The breadsticks were absolutely delicious, and using Président French butter was an excellent choice. It’s one of the top butter brands globally and also happens to be my personal favorite.
Unfortunately, that's where the good experience ended.
This visit turned out to be one of the biggest dining disappointments of my life. Growing up, I always dreamed of going to The Cheesecake Factory. I used to visit Villaggio Mall in Qatar, which had a branch, and I never got the chance to try it. So when I came to Riyadh, this location was at the very top of my list.
We started with the assorted spring rolls, which were soggy, bland, and honestly nothing special—especially given the price. Then we ordered the truffle chicken with mashed potatoes. Oh lord, that dish was an abomination. The chicken was barely seasoned, greasy, and had no trace of truffle flavor. The mashed potatoes were shocking. They were made with skin-on potatoes, which I normally don’t mind, but these were barely mashed and had large chunks of undercooked potato. It genuinely tasted like one of those dishes I throw together when I’m super tired and rushing through the process—not something you'd expect from a restaurant of this reputation. Completely unacceptable.
One thing I will give them credit for is the portion sizes—they were huge. We left the restaurant stuffed and could...
