I went to try Amar 2 days ago, I had to call the restaurant to get directions to the entrance! I went in, the hostess was on the phone, she did not even looked at me, I waited at the door until someone came and seated me. Nice and clean place, I came for Shisha and coffee, but they said I must have a meal ?! Shisha and drink are over Sr 200, don’t force me to eat, have a minimum charge and give me the option to decide. Shisha was nice, Shisha man is very polite and presentable. I asked for water, a bottle and a nice glass brought to my table but the waiter did not offer to pour the water? I ordered steak and fries, nice meal yet the steak was not hot enough, side salad is so poor, just lettuce. I wanted salt and pepper, it was far in the end of the table that I can’t reach, waiter should automatically bring it closer to the customer, same issue with tissues. Too far not reachable. Normally, once you have fries it should be served with ketchup or at list ask the customer if he/she like to have ketchup or hot sauce with the fries. I finished my food and the dish was on my table for almost 20 minutes. No one came to clear no one asked how was your meal no one offer any drink or desserts?! Staff were around, but either they don’t see or they don’t know or they don’t care. The a manager was passing by and asked if everything is ok and left. Yet the dish was still on my table. I asked for the bill to pay, a tall waiter point to the Qr on my table for payment, his body language when he told me that like ( can’t you see it in front of you ). I paid, I left, the hostess did not even open the door or made an eye contact or even said thank you. Very disappointed from such high...

From the moment we walked in, Amar Jeddah made us feel welcome with its warm ambiance and attentive service. The decor was a charming mix of art deco and modern, creating a cozy yet chic atmosphere. Our server, Omar Swed, was very professional, attentive, and knowledgeable.
The menu was a delightful journey through local and seasonal ingredients. The standout was the hummus and Taboule salad which was perfectly balanced and bursting with fresh flavors. The main course, a mixed grill platter, was cooked to perfection—tender and flavorful.
Dessert was the cherry on top; the date cake with vanilla ice cream was decadently rich and a must-try for anyone with a sweet tooth. Every dish was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, showing the care and expertise of the chef.
Overall, The Amar Jeddah provided an exceptional dining experience that combined great food, a wonderful setting, and excellent service. It's a gem that's definitely worth visiting, and we can’t...
