Twenty years. That's a long time to build a relationship with a restaurant, and it's with a heavy heart that I must report a truly disappointing experience at what was once a beloved establishment. After two decades of regular patronage, my recent visit was shockingly subpar, a stark contrast to the quality I've come to expect. The service was abysmal. We endured an agonizing wait just to catch a waiter's attention, a far cry from the attentive and welcoming service I've enjoyed in the past. Even simple requests, like clearing our table, were met with repeated delays and ultimately, a failure to meet basic standards. Unfortunately, the food mirrored the poor service. The nachos, a dish I've often enjoyed, were a greasy mess. The chicken was shredded to an unappetizing mush, and the overall texture was oily and heavy. The Texas fries were equally disappointing, swimming in oil and lacking any semblance of crispness. The one saving grace was the molten chocolate cake, which, thankfully, retained its deliciousness. However, even this small victory was overshadowed by the flat and tasteless peach iced tea, a beverage that should have been refreshing but instead was utterly forgettable. To summarize, the service was consistently below standard, and the food, with the exception of the dessert, was poorly executed. It’s disheartening to witness such a decline in quality after so many years of loyalty. I sincerely hope this was an anomaly, and that the restaurant takes swift action to address these...
Read moreI recently visited Chili's and tried their Big Bacon BBQ Burger, and here's my take on it:
Big Bacon BBQ Burger: The Big Bacon BBQ Burger at Chili's was absolutely delicious! It was perfectly cooked with a generous amount of bacon and BBQ sauce, which gave it a wonderful smoky flavor. The burger itself was juicy and flavorful, and the combination of ingredients was spot on. If you're a fan of burgers, this one is definitely worth trying!
Texas Cheese Fries: Unfortunately, the Texas Cheese Fries didn't quite meet my expectations. While the fries themselves were nice and crispy, the cheese topping didn't live up to what I hoped for. It lacked the gooeyness and cheesiness that I usually associate with loaded cheese fries. However, the portion size was decent, and the fries were still enjoyable despite the cheese disappointment.
Overall Experience: Overall, my experience at Chili's was positive, mainly because of the delicious Big Bacon BBQ Burger. The normal fries were a pleasant surprise, especially with the tasty sauce they provided. While the Texas Cheese Fries were a bit of a letdown, the standout burger made up for it. I would definitely recommend trying the Big Bacon BBQ Burger if you visit Chili's, but maybe opt for a different side dish instead of the Texas Cheese Fries. Unicorn lemonade...
