I have repeatedly visited the Khayal Restaurant Jeddah with my family last night on 20th May, 21. It is worth sharing that all my bad observations from last visit were found eliminated this time. Very well maintained ambiance and very good table service this time. Also crowd management because of Corona was found really good. I really appreciate the improvement. Very good. Whole order was served all together. Taste was usually good. It looks that the owner or management is keenly observing the comments and reviews and also performing thier self assesment and self improvement audits. I am happy to find good changes. I feel my duty to share good things as a must not only doing criticism. That's the reason i am adding these of my new comments and also increasing the Star rating to be 4. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx I have been a lover of Khayal Restaurant since times but this time today on Tuesday, 01-Dec-2020 I really got disappointed of Amir Sultan Road Branch, Jeddah. The reasons are; Bad table service. Waiter brought starter sauces on the table but did not brought the bread even after telling him for many times. Later he brought the bread after so long. Broken order was placed. I ordered 04 items. Waiters served 01 item at first. All of us finished that one partial order immediately and then me and my guest had to wait a lot for remaining 03 items. I was really feeling ashamed that moment in front of my guests. Garlic mayonnaise sauce was was giving a bad smell like it was kept for so long without refrigeration. Taste abd qusality of Pistachio Kabab was not as it was before. That was below standard. Air-conditioning was noticeably so bad. Ambiance was hot. Restaurant was really too crowded. We had to get the table for around more than half an hour. I think because of being very famous, restaurant has become so crowded and that is the reason it had lost it's class and legacy or it is loosing that day by day. If it remains so, i will never again through away my around 500 Saudi Riyals for 05 persons like this. Just because food was still reasonable, I am giving rating of 03 out of 05 stars. Otherwise i should have given only 01 star.

Khayal: Arabic Fusion Delight recently had the pleasure of dining at Khayal, and I must say, it's a restaurant that excels in providing impeccable service and efficiency. Unfortunately we were left hanging for some time to be seated. However this was made up by the service provided by the table staff. Khayal offers a diverse menu, it's important to note that the cuisine isn't strictly Turkish, but rather a fusion of various Arabic influences. For starters, I ordered the Mixed Meze Platter, and it was a delightful treat. The combination of flavors and textures was a true feast for the senses. Moving on to the main course, I opted for the Mixed Platter, which included delectable Kibbeh, samosas, and a variety of grilled items. Among them, the beef awsal and the cheesy kebabs stood out as particularly outstanding. The Grilled Eggplant was cooked to perfection, and its taste was simply superb. What truly impressed me was the presentation of the dishes, as each one was visually appealing and well thought out. Overall, my experience with the food was enjoyable, though it's worth mentioning that the spice level was relatively low. We tried the Baklawa with Ice Cream. While it was decent, the true star was the soft Kunafah topped with coarse Kunafah and ice cream. The combination of textures and flavors was simply scrumptious. To top it all off, the complementary tea provided was a perfect 10 out of 10. In terms of rating, Khayal is 8.5 out of 10. The restaurant excels in service and efficiency, and their mixed platters and grilled items are truly delightful. However, the lack of authentic Turkish flavors might disappoint those seeking a more traditional culinary experience. Nevertheless, Khayal offers a unique fusion of Arabic cuisines, making it an intriguing choice for those looking to explore different flavors.

I recently dined at Khayal Restaurant in Jeddah, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The restaurant's ambiance is warm and inviting, with beautifully designed interiors that create the perfect setting for a memorable meal. P.S. the picture was about the next day delivery, really enjoyed their food The menu offers a fantastic selection of traditional Middle Eastern dishes, all prepared with the freshest ingredients and cooked to perfection. Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor, from the perfectly grilled meats to the deliciously spiced appetizers. The portions are generous, making it ideal for sharing with family and friends. The service was equally impressive. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering excellent recommendations that enhanced our dining experience. They made us feel welcomed and ensured that every detail was taken care of. Khayal Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Middle Eastern cuisine in Jeddah. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning for another delightful meal.

Good service! Decent food although not fully authentic and some flavors are off, especially the side rice next to shashlik kebab which is completely adjusted according to the local palate( some type of basmati rice with berries and extra spice/flavor added). This spot gets crowded after 8 pm. There are tons of families with kids that are wandering around the tables and making quite a bit of noise so if you’re looking for some relaxed and pleasant experience and ambiance, it might not be a good choice at all. When it comes to the menu items, I would highly recommend changing your poorly implemented classic vanilla ice cream on top of the kunefe into Kahraman Maras ice cream which can elevate your crispy and tasty kunefe into the next level! Also, using good quality of pomegranate sauce and walnuts on top of the Gavurdagi salad can help locals and tourists to taste authentic flavor of the salad version that served in majority of restaurants around Turkey! Overall the food and mezes were good and fairly priced!

Here are some pictures of amazingly flavorful and yumilicious dishes we tried today… Khayal soup in fresh Bread is so delicious and filling, 1 soup is enough for one kid (if your kid is a soup lover) We tried Stuffed mix for the first time and stuffed Eggplant is a winner! Bell pepper is second! Isakandar Kebab was too meaty and flavorful, if you’re a fan of the meaty flavor then go for it! You’ll love it! Specially with bread and yogurt 🤤 Kebab Nazik is like BBQ meat with some mutabbal and bread! Simple and tasty, I’d suggest try the BBQ Chili 🌶 they serve in the dish. Kebab baity are basics kababs rolled and diced, easy to eat, with yogurt enhancing it’s flavors… Vegetable Tajin, we enjoyed it all by itself! Mushrooms were a surprise, but this dish is super nutritious except the cheese part but it’s totally optional! You can skip the cheese if you want to… And in the end they served this powerful “Black tea” it’s simply refreshing! And best part is you can have more than one 🙈

Khayal is a little piece of Turkey in Saudi Arabia, more specifically in Jeddah. The atmosphere is great. Very large and with many tables, it is rarely expected to sit and eat, even at peak times the wait is not that long. Very well decorated and cozy. Countless employees serve you quickly and efficiently. Meals arrive at the table very quickly. Wide varieties of Turkish dishes. All are very well prepared and tasty, yes I've tried several. Lol. Well located, sometimes parking is not so easy, due to the movement of the place where the restaurant is located, but with a little patience you can park without problems. There is also the food withdrawal part. Very fast and efficient. If I'm not mistaken, you can pre-order over the phone and when you get there, just pay and pick up your meal. Well, on my list it's among the best restaurants in Jeddah. It is well worth the visit for a quick meal or a full lunch or dinner with family and friends.
