It was a great experience with a modern British atmosphere. I the seats, tables, and the dim lighting all added to the nice wooden interior. Our server was nice and polite.
For the food, I had the fish n chips, the shrimp n chips, and the shepards pie. They all tasted good and didn't deviate from the classic taste.
I'll start with the pros. The batter was great. It was a thin and crispy layer and was fried well. The fish itself tasted fresh and quality. The portion size was decent, with 2 large fish in a plate and a bunch of steak fries. The shepards pie was also good. It tasted exactly like a classic homemade pie.
For the cons. I felt like everything lacked a bit of seasoning. Also, the tartar sauce wasn't the best I've had, I prefer a tangier, slightly heavier sauce. However, my friend really enjoyed it. The shrimp was the weakest dish we ordered, with no fault to the restaurant, I just don't think the batter itself works well with shrimp. These are small complaints because they do provide salt, vinegar, and lemon on the table for you to add to the dish to your liking. However, I just didn't feel like the dishes blew me away.
Overall, it was a good meal + experience, and if anyone were to ask me where they could eat some classic fish and chips, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend...
Read moreRed Fox is a hidden British gem in Jeddah that instantly transports you with its stunning interior. The atmosphere and classic old-school British design are a solid 10/10, from the cozy lighting to the wood-paneled walls, it’s like stepping into a London pub with a touch of elegance.
The appetizers set a high bar, especially the calamari, which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. As for the mains, the fish and chips truly steal the show crispy, flavorful, and authentic. The Shepherd's Pie also deserves a mention, hearty and comforting, just like it should be.
They also offer a variety of non-alcoholic drinks, including a great selection of beers that really complete the British pub experience, refreshing and surprisingly flavorful.
To top it all off, the service was excellent, attentive without being intrusive, and genuinely welcoming.
Whether you're craving a taste of Britain or just want a great dining experience, Red Fox won’t disappoint. Highly...
Read moreI used to live in London for 16 years, and I am fond of everything British. I don't know how to thank the owner of Red Fox Restaurant for this brilliant idea. My cousin and I have had great experiences there. What we enjoyed the most about this restaurant was the welcoming atmosphere, the decoration, especially the sign Mind the Gap, the London bus, and the British phone booth, and the famous Paddington Bear. Additionally, the standard will remain very high, for excellent food was freshly prepared from preparation to presentation, with a good selection of desserts, hot beverages, and cold drinks. We were thrilled when I looked at Red Fox's menu and found out that they served a variety of British food, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The service was great; the staff were friendly, polite, and accommodating. May your business bring you lots of fortune, name, and fame. I wish you good luck in reaching the top of your game....
