Disappointing Experience on Eid Morning
We visited Siblings Restaurant for breakfast on the second day of Eid, hoping to enjoy a pleasant meal with my wife, our baby, and our kid. Unfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations.
We ordered meals for each of us, including a pancake dish specifically for our child. We clearly told the waiter four times that we wanted the pancakes plain with everything on the side, as our child prefers it that way. He confirmed without issue and assured us it would be noted. Yet, when the food arrived, the pancakes came with all the toppings, completely opposite of what we asked.
We reminded the waiter of our request, and he looked shocked. He claimed he thought we ordered waffles — which makes no sense, as he repeated our pancake order back to us. Still, we asked for a plain pancake to be sent again.
Meanwhile, our child’s food hadn’t arrived, and he began crying and getting upset from hunger. We tried to wait, but the rest of our food started getting cold. After about 5 minutes, we called the waiter again. He said it was being prepared. Another 5 minutes passed — still nothing. We called another waiter and explained that this delay was unacceptable, especially with a hungry child and cold food. Instead of showing concern, the original waiter smirked in a mocking way. That attitude was extremely disrespectful and upsetting.
I asked him to call the manager — he ignored me. I had to ask a different waiter to call the manager, and thankfully he did. The manager arrived at the same time as the correct pancake order — after almost 15 minutes of waiting. The manager was polite and apologized, but by then, the damage to our experience was already done.
For a restaurant with such premium prices, the service was unacceptable and the portions were small. We had high hopes for this place, but we will not be returning. I hope they seriously work on improving their service, especially when dealing with families...
