Avindar lounge — Restaurant in Municipality of Al Shamal

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Avaindar Lounge in Riyadh and I must say, it was a great experience. With its exceptional food and stunning decoration, the restaurant left a lasting impression on me.The food at Avaindar Lounge was impressive. While it may not be the absolute best I have ever tasted, it was still delicious and satisfying. The menu offered a variety of options to cater to different tastes, ensuring there was something for everyone. From appetizers to main courses and desserts, each dish was prepared with care and skill, utilizing high-quality ingredients.What truly stood out to me was the lounge's incredible decoration. As soon as I entered, I was greeted by a lush and vibrant atmosphere. Plants adorned every corner, even growing into the walls. This unique touch added a sense of tranquility and natural beauty to the space, creating an inviting and relaxing ambiance.The service at Avaindar Lounge was exceptional. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They provided excellent recommendations and ensured that every need was met. The combination of great service and lovely surroundings made my dining experience truly enjoyable. Parking is available in front of the restaurant and they do offer valet service. This lounge is one of my favorite and mostly visited but after tonight experience my thoughts are changed and that’s why I have to give it a 1 star rating because of its customer handling. I visited the place at night 12 as I know that it’s place is open 24/7 I insist the reception that I want to sit downstairs on which they said it’s not allowed because I have two kids with me so we decide to sit upstairs. After an hour when we finish our main course and thinking about to try some sweets, a waiter approach us with a bill and said that we are closing. I told him that you guys are not open 24/7 and he said yes but only downstairs. So I told him I am thinking to try some sweets and he said yes you can clear the bill and go downstairs to order again for sweet. I told him but it’s not allowed because I have kids. And he bring a manager who said it’s fine you can go downstairs. I feel bad because they can’t treat customer as they like moving them as they pleased so I decide to leave the place.

By the way they also served the food cold and very quick and I asked the waiter the food is not hot as it should be but no one even bother to ask or apologize for that. I feel that they just quickly want to serve us and then want us to get off of the place.

I don’t think I’ll ever visit them specially when they don’t...

I am a regular customer at this cafe/lounge since years and I used to visit both branches. The food, ambiance was my favourite until 2 weeks back when I went there for a special occasion and the staff was so inattentive, unwelcoming and unfriendly. We chose our favourite spot and as always upstairs was closed around 11:30pm. Anyhow, our food arrived and it wasn't as expected. I usually order Risotto, quesadillas and nachos. The quesadillas size has gone from large to mini size (i have attached the before and now picture as evidence) Risotto was so bad, it was normal rice and full of lemon horrible taste. I don't order the cheesecake anymore, because the taste is not as good as it used to be. Place in not maintained anymore, staff was extremely inattentive and rather bored. They were just standing there and looking around at the customers without any reason. While we were having our food the staff came for the bill - like wth? What is this behaviour? Is this how your treat your customers? Horrible mannered. Definitely not going back ever again. They have probably hired new staff and they're totally not welcoming.
