Restaurant Review: Al Nadeg - الناضج Food: Mandy Meat (نفر لحم مدفون رز الناضج) – 9.5/10 Excellent flavor, tender, and well-seasoned. A truly delicious dish. Chicken Mandi (نص مظبي رز الناضج) – 9/10 Great taste, tender meat, and well-seasoned. Very enjoyable. Mix Grill (نفر مشكل مشاوي) – 9/10 Tasty and well-prepared, a solid choice. Kanafa (كنافة بالقشطة) – 8/10 Delicious, but could have been even better. Pricing: The prices felt a bit high. For four dishes, we paid 166 SAR, which seemed expensive given the portion sizes. While the food was tasty, the value for money wasn’t the best.
Ambience: The restaurant offers a great atmosphere with both majlis and table seating options, making it ideal for different group sizes. It’s spacious, with a separate section for families, adding to the comfort. Another plus is the ample parking space at the back.
Negatives: Language Barrier: The staff struggled to communicate in English, which made ordering a bit difficult. Arabic-Only Menu & Bill: The menu and bill were only available in Arabic. Menu Display Issue: The order taker turned On the TV menu display, which was in English, making it easy for non-Arabic speakers to order. Overall: Al Nadeg offers some delicious dishes and a pleasant dining environment, but the high prices, inconsistent service, and language barriers might be a drawback for some. It’s worth a visit for the ambience and standout dishes, but non-Arabic speakers may find it challenging to...

Read moreTo make it worse, half of the meat was just bones!!!!!!
I recently visited Al Nadeg Restaurant and tried three types of rice with meat. While the taste was delicious, the portion of meat was shockingly small—I’ve had Mandi many times before, but this was the first time I saw such a tiny portion. Honestly, it looked like it was meant for a baby.
Another issue was the service. Before going, I checked the reviews, and many people mentioned that the waiters were slow and inattentive—and unfortunately, I experienced the same. We had to ask multiple times (three or four times!) just to get the red sauce for our Mandi, and even then, they never brought it.
In the end, we ate the little meat we were given and couldn’t even finish all the rice. The experience was disappointing, and considering the service and portion size, I would rate this restaurant 2 out of 5.
Would I come back?...
