What can I say? From the outside it was all nice looking; nice glass corridor entrance. There is a ground and a first floor. The design and layout is different, in a nice way. Open design. Glass ceiling. The interior, upstairs, was very bright, too bright. The decor was...ok. Our waitress..we couldn't understand a word of what she was saying..sharp shrill voice. We couldn't understand her; most of the time we were just nodding our head in agreement. Would it be too much to get someone the customers can understand and communicate with; someone who doesn't have an extremely over powering accent, whom the customers could actually communicate with? Its ok to get cheap labour, but not at the expense of your business and patrons. Extremely disappointing. The manager, I'm that what she was, was an arrogant young Saudi woman, bossing people, her minions about. She was constantly checking that her make-up was perfect Then the food...the pizza was burnt and dry, both of them. They both tasted of...nothing, absolutely nothing. The rest of the dishes, and we did have quite a variety, were bland, tasteless. I'm guessing that if I had to waste my money, sr1000 + then I'd have to come here and blow it away. So there you have it people, this is the place to come and pour your money away. Another place that focuses on decor and 'ambience ' , rather than the customers and of course the food. Give the people some bright lights to distract them from the food. Nice. Recommended? You must...

Lunch Review: A Journey from Crunch to Creamy — with a Cool Dessert Finale
I kicked things off at the salad buffet, and honestly, it was a refreshing start. There was a great variety — from pasta salad to a sweet prawn mix, and a delightfully nutty option that added some crunch and contrast. Sipping on iced tea alongside all that freshness? Absolute bliss. It wasn’t just a drink; it was a whole mood — chilled, citrusy, and totally blew me away.
Next up was a warm, comforting soup — likely lentil-based — that felt like a gentle hug for the stomach. Simple, hearty, and nicely seasoned.
Then came the main course: a chicken and mushroom creamy steak, paired with mashed potatoes and perfectly boiled vegetables. The sides were spot-on, but the steak itself leaned a bit too creamy for my taste. Texture-wise, it was rich, but it didn’t quite strike the right chord with my palate.
Thankfully, dessert came to the rescue. Two scoops of ice cream — one lime, one hazelnut. The lime tasted more like a sour sorbet experiment gone rogue, but the hazelnut? A creamy, nutty dream — absolutely perfect for a hot summer afternoon.
Overall, it was a well-rounded meal with some standout highs (salads and hazelnut ice cream, I see you!) and a few moments that didn’t quite hit the mark. But hey, that’s what makes food fun — the flavorful ups and...
Read moreI went today to piatto for my birthday. This was my first dine-in experience, since COVID-19. It’s still out there, so please be cautious and careful. Anyway, i randomly decided to go here with my family for lunch since curfew starts at 8pm. They have a contactless menu system, where you simply scan their QR code and you can look at the menu. They also have packed and sterilized utensils for every person, just like in the planes. And all the staff had masks on. Furthermore, a few staff were also incharge of spraying disinfectant every now and then on the surrounding furniture. A sanitizer was also present on every table. In the end they gave us a wet tissue as well. So, regarding covid19 measures they did a pretty good job. We ordered their lunch special menu which was a 4 course menu that ranges from 49-99 SAR per person, depending on what you order. We got a steak, pasta and burger for the main course. Salad and french bread as appetizers and soup of the day was the second course which included tomato/lentil soup. Drinks were also included which were bottomless. And last of all there was gelato for dessert ( 12 flavours to choose from). So, overall a divine experience in these difficult times but a must visit for a friendly and full filling experience. Great...
