WOKKONG — Restaurant in Shmeisi Municipality

Both of my visits were post 1:30 AM, and let me tell you, there's something delightfully rebellious about slurping noodles when the rest of the city is counting sheep. Their menu boasts a selection of rice, noodles, meats, and teriyaki sauce that's as comforting as it is classic.

The place has only about four tables for dine-in; the rest of the space is dedicated to delivery orders. Wokkong is essentially a culinary bat signal for the hungry masses at home.

Now, let's address the (hot) elephant in the room - the soup. It's the only one they offer, and unless you're a native of China, Indonesia, or somewhere nearby, you might find it a tad... volcanic. I took one sip and briefly considered calling the fire department. It's so spicy and unique that my taste buds are still in witness protection.

Every dish is crafted from scratch in a wok, so you get a meal that's piping hot and straight from the source. It's like getting a warm hug - if that hug was stir-fried and served with chopsticks.

The worst noodles place i have ever been. Food quality is below average, the prices are super expensive. Pepsi can are sold by 6 Riyals, I had to buy a drink from near Panda. Side snacks are frozen/microwaved, ordered two small pcs crispy chicken and it cost me 30+ , even Tom Yum is made out of frozen veggies and no shrimp or any sea food in it, just microwaved. Noodles were served oily and limited no of shrimps, and Chicken noodles where i needed to flash of my phone to find a damn a chicken meat.
