This restaurant, while visually appealing, failed to deliver on both taste and service. The Jack Daniel's scallops dish (12,000 cfa) was overpriced and underwhelming, lacking both quantity and flavor. The crepe dessert was overly alcoholic and lacked texture, an unexpected and unpleasant surprise. Despite dining in a large group, our table was neglected throughout the meal, with no staff checking in NOT EVEN ONCE. When I expressed concerns about the dessert, my feedback was dismissed with laughter. Given the consistent praise this restaurant receives from expats, I was shocked by the inattentive service, especially considering the numerous staff gathered idly. Nicely located on the beach, the restaurant has both a shaded patio to enjoy the fresh air or a well curated indoor space for hotter days. The food was impeccable. We all chose different types of fish, creatively presented and cooked with special flavours that added a nice twist to the flesh cooked to perfection. Étonnamment l’un des dîners les plus médiocres que j’ai connu. Nous avions l habitude mon mari et moi de l’excellence des anciens établissements dirigés par les propriétaires, mais cette fois-ci la déception était à son comble.

Nous avions réservé une table pour 2 personnes et un bébé, en arrivant personne ne retrouvait notre réservation. Nous avons dû poireauté debout quelques minutes, je suis enceinte jusqu’au cou, mon mari portait notre enfant en plus de la poussette et personne ne s’est proposé de nous installer en attendant de retrouver notre table.

L’une des serveuses qui s’est occupée de nous n’a pas esquissé un seul sourire. Par contre un accueil chaleureux et un service irréprochable était dédié aux habitués de la maison ce soir là.

Nous avons commandé des filets de poisson meunière dont un pour notre bébé de 3 ans, ils sont arrivés truffés d’arêtes. Seul mon mari a pu manger, nous avons laissé ma fille et moi deux assiettes quasi pleines.

De plus, le poisson était fade, sans grand intérêt et la sauce meunière inexistante.

Pour finir, personne ne prend la peine de demander si nous voulions autre chose à la place malgré nos critiques et notre frustration. Nous payons plein pot notre repas et repartons bredouilles et affamés !

Un flop total pour ce qui se devait être un dîner sympathique pour le 40e anniversaire...
