Durmitor — Restaurant in City of Belgrade

First, let's start with service. Reservation for dinner specifically made for table outdoor, in the restaurant's garden, because no one wants to be indoor during such a nice weather as it is these days, but when I came I was told my table is inside. Talked to manager, but it didn't work. This is totally unacceptable.

Second, waiter was without smile. It didn't look he liked the job. Don't know what is the reason, maybe they are not paid well, but I noticed that in general waiters in this restaurant are not smiling. They look like they are doing their job not because they love it, but because they had to. Simply, they are not to much interested in their job. We were never asked if we liked the food, if everything was okay. So, this approach can not create feeling you are sitting in a friendly environment.

Third, food. Barbeque specialties were very good. On the other hand veal baked in clay pot was just average, and this restaurant supposed to be famous by it. It tasted like some old pieces were heated and served. I had a feeling they want to get rid of it. Some pieces of bread were not fresh, like they didn't want to waste leftovers from lunch.

I believe management and staff needs to be educated how to respect guests. Everything you put on the table has to be fresh. I've been coming to this restaurant many times, but today's experience is something I don't want to go through again.

Durmitor Belgrade offers a truly unique dining experience! The atmosphere is very cool and upscale, definitely different from other restaurants in the area. It was packed on a Saturday night, which added to the vibrant energy. We were seated promptly and our drink orders were taken immediately. The service was top-notch, especially from Viktor, our waiter. He was incredibly attentive and helpful, even guiding us through the cocktail menu. The rakia selection was impressive, and we enjoyed the variety of flavors. The food was mostly outstanding. The beef was cooked to perfection, incredibly tender and flavorful. The satiates (I'm not sure what they are, but they were incredible!) were the best part, absorbing all the rich juices from the beef. The salad was a delicious twist on a Greek salad, with a unique, creamy cheese that tasted like a blend of cream cheese and feta. The bread was also very good, light and fluffy. The only slight disappointment was the grilled vegetables, which arrived a little cold. They were still tasty, especially the grilled peppers, but could have been warmer. Food: outstanding, perfectly made steaks (rather rare than medium rare, just the way we like it) We had steaks in olive oil, and the Teletina Isbond something. Listen, this sounds super basic but trust me, it's a taste celebration.

Location: I am here on a business trip, so I don't know the area well. It was easy to find, but parking was an issue.

Drinks: Includes everything you would get in a well equipped bar or lounge, too!

Atmosphere: We dined inside, but when we were up leaving, we saw the glorious roofed garden. Super romantic atmosphere with great lights. Totally a place for a good date.

Comments: We were looking for a cozy place to dine, and we found Durmitor - that means, at least to us, a classy establishment with fantastic but affordable food, served from people who love their jobs. Totally...
