I recently visited this restaurant after watching an episode of Lovac Na Ukuse, eager to try everything that was showcased in the video.
Here’s how it went:
Starting with the Osso Buco, it was nothing short of amazing. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the dish was beautifully presented. It definitely lived up to the expectations set by the show.
However, the BBQ Pork Neck was a bit of a letdown. It was dry and lacked flavor, which was disappointing, especially considering how appetizing it looked on screen.
As for the BBQ Pork Knuckle, it was well-cooked, with a great texture, but there was an aftertaste that didn’t sit well with me. I’ve had better versions of this dish elsewhere, so it didn’t quite hit the mark for me.
The BBQ Ribs were well-cooked, with a good sauce and plenty of meat. However, the ribs appeared to come from a larger, commercial pig, resulting in a lot of meat that I found to be on the dry side. I tend to prefer smaller ribs with less meat, but unfortunately, many places in Serbia serve these larger, meatier ribs that don’t quite meet my expectations.
On a positive note, the ambience of the place is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere really adds to the dining experience, making it a pleasant place to spend time, even if the food was a bit...
Read morePerfect pub restaurant, table for one, no problem. This little gem is next door to a large supermarket also worth popping into.
About a km away from my apartment, was over for dental treatment from UK. What service, all men are the waiters. The value for money and food is excellent. Even the coffee is stunning, tea if you prefer too.
The visiting customers at this gorgeous pub are very classy themselves. Another sign a perfect little secret.
BBQ specialists that roast their meet in a special oven for over 10 hours. Slow roasted, and boy are the portions good too. The soups are fab, I had soup of the day, creamy lemony, meat herbs vegetables. A meal in itself, wow, I visited several times during my stay. Never disappointed me, always come up trumps.
A must visit, the Serbian beer is excellent. Best ever tasted, fruity punch creamy, no bitterness, will suit lady drinkers. I am not a great fan of beer as has a bitter twang, I was pleasantly surprised, will be checking if I can find in the UK. My new favourite drink, in fact this drink may be the reason I intend to visit Serbia for a holiday rather than a dental treatment trip.
Those dangling features are moustaches from the ceiling, a nice touch.
Love this place, will be back for more...
Read moreWe went here unexpectedly, but were satisfied with food. The soup is something I would not recommend, its poor quality and there is no chicken peaces in chicken soup !?!? Big disappointment knowing that Serbs really know how to make Corba / Soups. The second disappointment was a choice of Sallads . On the menu you can find all kind of salads but nor Serbian Salad !? Why is that!? If I am in Serbia I want to taste Serbian salad as an foreigner. But here we go now with compliments. Surprised by very good 5 stars Serbian Hamburger. Delicious. Taste and size. I recommend it anyone. Thats something you dont find by other places. The rest of food is plus of minus all same like everywhere else. The service was also good, little more time of waiting for waiter to show up but when he does , its nice pleasant talk. I give this place 4 stars for quality and service. Would love to come back in future just to check if their Corba and Salad menu got better. Prices are not easy but for quality I can...
