My experience dining here was like feeding a starving dog some scraps from your lunch, only for it to bite your hand and help itself to the rest of your food. I've crossed this forlorn and desolate restaurant on multiple occasions on the way to the MRT. My reasons for visiting BOMBAY DINING were twofold: To support a dying business, and to try some traditional Indian cuisine. I entered this restaurant intending to spend no more than $15 on their "$13.90 Lamb Rogan Josh", as listed in their menu on Google Maps. Little did I know that this item actually existed as "$16.90 Kashmiri Rogan Josh" on their physical menu, and that the server's seemingly innocuous question "Would you like to have bread or rice with that, sir?" would cost me another $5 on PLAIN WHITE RICE.

Could the quality of the food justify the void that was created in my wallet? In short: NO. Fishing for lamb cubes in the sea of curry was comparable to fishing for carp - on the rare occasion that you catch one, you're disappointed by its dull taste, and its diminutive size. The bowl of "$16.90 Kashmiri Rogan Josh" was no bigger than my palm, and it was simply a confusing amalgamation of curry and 5 lamb cubes. Not only did I leave with an empty wallet, but I also left with an empty stomach. The service was nothing short of disappointing. Not once did I see the ghost of a smile across the server's perpetually stern face, making me feel extremely unwelcome.

My naive pipedream of having a nice and relaxing lunch at BOMBAY DINING was torn to shreds, leaving me an empty husk of disappointment, and a hefty bill of $24.00. Would I visit again? I'd sooner waterboard myself with some Carolina Reaper juice and lick a toilet floor, than step foot in this establishment again. For what it's worth, such an ordeal might still leave me with better gastrointestinal consequences than...

What a joke of a business, ordered through Foodpanda and NEVER received my order!!! They are deceitful and have an alternative name on the app, Hot Kitchen - The Quality Dining (South Bridge). The person on the line kept insisting they had already cancelled the order on the app but it's now marked as DELIVERED and I never got a thing. My card has been charged.

Check other reviews about their horrendous delivery via third party apps. They definitely know this is an issue and loophole but the person on the line insists that Foodpanda can refund you. However, Foodpanda refuses to help since this is delivered by the restaurant's own fleet. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CHEATING BUSINESS.

UPDATE: After some digging around, I found out that this restaurant goes by several different names. Guessing it's to minimise negative reviews on their main shopfront BOMBAY DINING (but there are already several - just see what others have said). Some of their restaurant names on Deliveroo/Foodpanda/Grab are: NAMASTEY SINGAPORE- INDIAN RESTAURANT Dawat E Lazeez HAANDI-AUTHENTIC INDIAN RESTAURANT Aakira-North indian Cuisine Bawarchi Sangam Indian Cuisine-Express Hot Kitchen - The Quality Dining (South...

OKAY

Location and Ambience: When I first heard of Bombay dining the first thing that came to my mind was an authentic Indian restaurant playing Bollywood songs, with an interior which might make you experience the scrumptious taste of the street food of bombay.. But this place was nothing like it except the part that says playing bollywood songs. Interior was very ambiguous and doesn't make you feel at home at all. Talking about cleanliness, I would give them a big thumbs up.

Service: Service was good. We were first served with papad and extremely tasty green mint chutney and after 10 minutes our order was served.

Food: Although they do have Indo Chinese and mexican dishes in their menu but I would suggest you to go for Indian only. I have tried both veg and non-veg dishes and all of them were kind of okay. Again drinks were a big disappointment as the tea was made of sour milk and also the lassi that we had ordered was made up of sour curd.

Cost: Cost is average but if you really wanna get a good Indian food in cheaper rate then try using vouchers from fave and you might end up with a...

Paneer shashlik tikka. The worst ever tikka I had in my life. No flavours at all. The chutney as can be seen in rhe photo too much color is added and not at all a tikka chutney by taste. The onions was stale. Had to throw away the whole dinner. The chilli mushroom was so oily it took me a second glance to understand if it is dry or gravy. The schezwan fried rice was full of added color. Pathetic flavour profile. Had ordered paneer tikka masala few days before (pic not attached) , the color added stayed on the fingertips till the next day. This restaurant is using way too much color in the food hence the pics look delicious. Perfect case of "Don't judge the book by it's cover"! Deliveroo is the delivery partner and as many have reviewed already they have zero say of your food is late. The restaurant phone number kept saying busy for 45mins at a stretch. Deliveroo said we cannot help you contact the restaurant and solve ot at your end!!!!! Pathetic restaurant and pathetic service!!
