Service is welcoming and friendly. Walked past many times for meals at surrounding but first time trying. Just a feedback, the shopfront is always closed and you can’t really see what’s in there, somehow you just don’t feel the pull to go in. Not sure if it’s the entrance design or lack of visual cues to step in. Anyways, the food is good. The side dishes were plenty in variety and portions were generous. We love the kimchi and squid. Kimchi soup was ok, not the sour kind. Beef was tender and very well marinated. We chose the spicy option, great for those who enjoy spicy food but might be a little spicy for those who can’t handle high level spicy. Kimchi pancake was thinly sliced and crispy, loved it and it well with the accompanying sauce. Couldn’t finish the pancake and had it packed. They even gave a new serving of sauce for the takeaway. Visited this newly opened restaurant on a Sun for an early dinner. Upon entering, we were greeted by the friendly staff. We ordered the Jjajangmyeon ($14), Mul-naengmyeon ($16), LA Galbi ($26) and Beef Pancake ($25) to share amongst 4 pax. Eight banchans were served and I found all to be enjoyable (at certain places it can be pretty bad). The noodle dishes were decent with big portions. However, the LA Galbi was abit tough and it was difficult to get the meat off the bone. A pity as it had good marinate. The Beef Pancake was just okay, I wouldn’t reorder but might try a different pancake next time. Overall, I wouldn’t mind returning for the other dishes as there is an extensive menu! I visited restaurant with a friend and I just loved it. They provide variety of side dish and absolutely love their kimchi Even as a korean it was my first time ever trying squid pork belly called ohsamgyup? 오징어삼겹살 and I really loved it!!! The food goes really well with drinks esp soju+beer cuz it’s spicy & good and no doubt their LA galbi never can go wrong. Kimchijeon was also very crispy and nice.
