My friend and I decided to pay Freshio Gelato, Uncle Kian Tat(KT) and Aunty Stephanie a visit after watching their interview with Our Grandfather Story(OGS) on Youtube and seeing their impressive Google Review of 5 stars.
Freshio Gelato is located outside of Sunshine Plaza facing the road. The first impression of it was homie, as we saw a variety and mixture of decorations upon entering; astronauts, planets, Chinese zodiac, greeneries, just to name a few.
Uncle KT was welcoming, he would automatically handover spoonfuls of gelato for us to try while Aunty Stephanie would be the cashier.
The process at Freshio Gelato is simple:

Tastetest Gelato
Make payment
Enjoy!
There were a good mixture of traditional and modern flavours of gelato to choose from and the two flavours in particular that caught our eyes were Mr Pancake and French Croissant.
Creamy, smooth, perfect sweetness are what we would use to describe Freshie Gelato. We felt that their version of gelato is unique in their own way, just that the taste of the flavour of their gelato can be further improved to make it more prominent.
To prevent being overwhelmed by it's creaminess, we would suggest sharing and/or ordering a mixture of fruit and non-fruit flavours.
Their gelato is for sure value for money and affordable. One big scoop of ice cream and spoonfuls of taste test for the price we pay is really worth it. Do take note that their gelatos were categorized into 4 tiers; Classic, Premium, Super Premium and Alcohol. The prices of their gelato will vary according to their tier.
The ambience was cozy and it has approximately 6 tables for dine-in patrons on a first come first serve basis. It might begin to feel warm when the scorching afternoon sun shines in and when all the tables are filled up. Having a stronger air conditioner would help improve the experience greatly.
A sincere thank you to Uncle KT and Aunty Stephanie for their unique gelato and being so sweet towards patrons by offering us self-serviced cold or warm plain water and well labelling of instructions.
We know that life can be challenging at times and we would love to see the happier and smiling Aunty Stephanie. Wishing the best of health, happiness and continual business prosperity to Uncle KT, Aunty Stephanie and the Team.

Read moreDonkey and I embraced an impromptu ice cream quest during our cycling jaunt and chanced upon Freshio Gelato. Captivated by its remarkable 4.9-star Google rating, we were intrigued to personally explore this esteemed ice cream destination. Upon entry, we were warmly greeted by both the lady and the male boss, who graciously presented us with an extensive selection of ice cream samples. The inclusive sampling approach pleasantly surprised us, allowing us to delve into the diverse flavors on offer.
After sampling a majority of their house-made ice cream creations, we found the offerings at Freshio Gelato to be not only delightful but also thoughtfully crafted with care and passion by the boss himself. We had the privilege of engaging in a conversation with the boss, who radiated pride in his ice cream and enthusiastically shared his favorite flavors. It was also disclosed that they were in the midst of recruiting staff for a new outlet at Jewel at the airport.
Opting for the Croffle over the traditional waffle, we found the pairing to be impeccably executed, earning accolades from both of us. I particularly highlighted the rich and creamy texture of the ice cream, noting its distinction from other premium ice cream selections. In my view, Freshio Gelato has the potential to rival, if not surpass, renowned brands like Baskin-Robbins.
During our visit, we reveled in the delightful profiles of mint chocolate, Belgian chocolate, and lime sherbet. The mint chocolate offered a refreshing amalgamation of mint and chocolate, while the Belgian chocolate exuded opulent and indulgent notes. The tangy lime sherbet introduced a zestful twist to our tasting endeavor.
We wholeheartedly recommend visitors in the vicinity to drop by Freshio Gelato for a memorable gelato experience, featuring a diverse array of flavors catering to various preferences. Despite the exceptional ice cream quality, friendly service, and inviting atmosphere, the slight warmth within the shop marginally diminished the overall experience, likely attributed to insufficient air conditioning. Despite providing feedback to the building management, no immediate rectification was implemented. Considering our positive encounters with the delectable ice cream and welcoming service, alongside the warmth concern, we are granting Freshio Gelato a commendable...
Read moreCan see how Uncle and Auntie maintains the 5* after going there.
Went quite awhile back (2 days in a row), bought belgium chocolate and it was really delicious. I have a sweet tooth so I really liked it.
Went back again the next day since we were with friends, bought quite a lot of things from Uncle and Auntie the second time. They were really friendly and Uncle always lets everyone try pancake and one more flavor without them asking (I can't remember the other one but Uncle seems to want to promote those two), then if you want to try others, he'll let you too. Wanna also mention that Uncle gives a VERY generous portion for trying, don't have the photo of it though.
Ice cream flavors: Belgium choc, strawberry, hazelnut, cookies and cream, pistachio and pancakes. Strongly recommend the belgium chocolate, strawberry pistachio. Sorry uncle I cannot tell the difference between hazelnut and cookies and cream (tasted like hazelnut ice cream for both but with peanut and oreo topping respectively to me), but it was still nice, just that I prefer belgium choc over those two.
Add ons: Croffle x3, brownie, lava cake. They were sold out on waffles and we didn't try the panini but the panini does look good. All 3 were good, for those who likes sweet stuff, brownie and lava cake is the way to go, both were really nice, my friends generally liked the croffle since they don't like sweet stuff as much as I do.
As for the cost, the price is lower than other places and quite reasonable. I think a scoop of ice cream with a cone is around 5.50 or something, whereas brownie + lava cake + croffle + ice cream x 4 (pancake, hazelnut, cookies and cream, pistachio) was $31, a croffle with belgium chocolate was 7 or so.
Overall really like the place, would visit again, but for others going over in large groups do take note that the seating available is quite limited, and they're really popular so they always have a large turnout. If you're going in groups of more than 2/4 you'd probably have to sit separately, we lucked out and had people leave...
