Terrible Service, Unacceptable Wait Times, and Overpriced Mediocrity

Visited on a weekday at 8 PM when the restaurant was half empty (only 1 cashier + 3 kitchen staff). Ordered Thai milk tea, basil pork rice, prawn omelette, and sticky rice. Here’s the disaster:

Thai milk tea took 10 minutes Basil pork rice arrived 35 minutes later I’d already finished my drink and meal by then. Prawn omelette came 50 minutes after ordering. It was oily, salty, and barely resembled the light, fluffy Thai-style omelettes I’ve had in Thailand. -Sticky rice was forgotten—when I asked, they microwaved it on the spot and handed it to me like an afterthought.

Other issues: Staff prioritized chatting over serving customers. Music was blasting like a nightclub—could barely hear myself think. Basil pork (4/5) was decent, but the rest (especially the greasy omelette) missed the mark.

Conclusion: Overpriced for the quality, ruined by abysmal service and unjustifiable wait times despite no crowd. Never returning.

If you rate 5 star on Google they will give you a free drink hence the positive review. Those saying it's life changing oyster omelette obviously haven't try a better ones. Overkill (Get fed) is always hyping the review.

I noticed your response to the previous 1-star review, where you invited the customer to call for further discussion. While dialogue is important, the concerns raised in the review were clear and did not require additional clarification. Instead of asking customers to call, I recommend thoroughly addressing feedback directly in your response and taking actionable steps to improve service. Please take the time to carefully read and reflect on the feedback provided It's an opportunity to enhance your customer experience. Proactive improvements will demonstrate your commitment to satisfaction far more effectively than requesting private...

Food is not bad but will NOT return. BTW, the overwhelming 5* reviews is because they give you a free drink for it. Lol. Take your money and business somewhere else.

  1. For $12, you get quite a small portion of green curry - not even half a typical da Pao container.

  2. The PLAIN RICE is $2. Much more, the rice isnt even fully cooked, it’s hard and clumpy. I can even pick it up whole with my chopsticks and drop it back on the plate with a thud. For restaurant price, I can’t believe I still have to “cook” my own white rice. Just typical Jasmine rice btw, not any special “sticky rice” as per their menu.

  3. Waited almost 30 mins for 2 dishes - green curry and chicken wings. Funny thing is, when I arrived, there was only 1 table. When I left, there were 4 - and every single one of their dishes got served before mine, including a table which ordered the same chicken wings, which the staff said they were frying??? Staff was laughing and playing in the kitchen, not sure if they forgot my order?

  4. Not sure if the Thai lady overcharged me. 1. Green curry, 1 plain rice and 1 small chicken wings added up to $23.90. Even after adding for da pao container, idk how it became almost $24. No receipt given. Supposedly no GST and service charge.

Hope management can look into this. Will not...

Have visited their Orchard Plaza location a few times; enjoyed authentic taste of home cooked Thai food without breaking the bank 😁

So I'm here at Parklane to try this outlet... after being let down by DaXi at Plaza Sing (never ever visiting again!!!)

I'm writing this review whilst eating basil pork rice 😆

Generous amount of minced pork cooked with bits of long beans and shreds of red chilli -- very yummy 😋

But the egg yolk is overdone, no more runny! Very much the same as what I had over at Orchard, so can that be said to be consistency across outlets?! 🤔🤣

I'm surprised why they didn't portray their country's rice in the best light. What I tasted was semi-hard rice, only slightly better than what most tze char stalls dish out :(

They don't serve hot lemon grass drink here, so had to settle for iced cold. I feel the classic aromatic taste is diminished somewhat.

While I'm the lone diner currently, this place is rowdy with the staff's banter and Thai songs playing loudly -- not complaining though, it's nice actually...
