Dining here is like being transported to a modern, stylish, neo-noir film where the vibe is mysterious yet relaxing. Think the lavish, cool settings of John Wick, Pulp Fiction, Sin City, minus the grittiness and dark themes. Perfect for chilling while enjoying good food and cocktails in a world distinctively different from the ones we are used to seeing.

There are three dining areas here: The outdoor for the cool ones to see and to be seen since Amoy Street is so vibrant at night. The bar counter to see the bartenders doing their magic. Darker and more exciting, it is hard to resist ordering a cocktail after seeing the bartenders in action. The main dining area is brighter and more romantic with white-washed walls and beautiful yellow lights illuminating the place.

I like the variety in the menu featuring vegetarian dishes, different kinds of meat and seafood. The food here is good old Italian fare with a bit of twist, best enjoyed with the awesome cocktails here. Just let the super friendly bartenders know your preferences and they will cook up something for you.

Yes, the service here is excellent. The service crew members are so friendly and always interact with patrons with lots of smiles. Along with the service staff, the bartenders also go the extra mile to greet the patrons coming in.

Tartare Di Gamberi Rossi is packed with raw essence of the ocean from the diced Sicilian red prawns, wakame, ikura and squid snow. Very strong in flavours, a pretty good dish to enjoy for flavours of the sea. But I have to admit I may enjoy this more in the main dining area since in the dim light of bar counter, I can't tell which component of the dish I'm eating to fully appreciate the taste.

Enjoyment of Risotto Al Granchio is not affected by lighting condition, and I love this dish. The Carnaroli rice is starchy with an iota of chewiness, it feels so satisfying to eat this. And each grain is soaked with the briny sweet goodness of red crab meat and lobster bisque. Brandy is added for a touch of twist. Grana Padano, a DOP specialty cheese from Po Valley of Italy, introduces a subtle nutty flavour to the risotto for a more well- rounded taste.

Cannoli with Mascapone and Ricotta Cheese filling and Pistachio is an interesting dessert. It’s a bit like cigar like shape, so I just pick it up with fingers and bite into it. The filling is the highlight here, being creamy yet light and filled with subtle flavours of mascarpone and ricotta. The cannoli, which is like biscuit dough, is on the drier side though.

By the way, the cocktail ordered is specially chosen by the bartender based on my preferences for something light and refreshing. It totally suits my taste.

I enjoy dining here since the feel here is really unique and super chilled.

Thoughts: Dining can be so...

Service: 0 / Food: 3 / Atmosphere: 3.5 We experienced terrible service throughout our visit — from dining to checkout.

None of the staff appeared well-trained or capable of providing even basic service. I raised my hand several times, yet no waiter or bartender noticed.

One male waiter completely ignored my request for warm water and brought me a half cup of cold water instead. Unbelievable. It felt like he just wanted to get rid of the glass— he dropped it off and walked away immediately. My partner’s cup remained empty, and mine was half-filled with cold water, despite my clear request for warm water.

The waitress, who also acted as the host, was just as inattentive. She changed our salad plates to larger ones while we were still eating, on an already small table. She also forgot our requests right after we spoke to her. At two separate points, she moved my food while I was clearly in the middle of taking a photo. She didn’t even notice. Her awareness and attention to guests were shockingly POOR.

And it didn’t end there. She left us mid-conversation to take shots with another table of customers. Yes — shots. While we were still trying to talk to her. And this place is rated 4.7 stars on Google? That’s hard to believe.

At checkout, they overbilled us, and it took about 5 minutes to correct the bill and process the payment — even though we told them our taxi was already waiting outside.

Food: Kale Salad ($30++): Totally overpriced. All you can taste is ginger — it overpowers everything.

Lamb Shank: Braised until tender, which was nice, but the dish had a bitter aftertaste. The vegetables served with it were pathetically thin, and the mashed potatoes were grainy, not smooth.

Pizza: The only item worth 4 stars. The crust was soft and chewy with decent flavor, though it still needed some Tabasco to cut through the heaviness.

This might work as a bar, but it’s definitely not a good restaurant, and absolutely not...

[TELOK AYER, SINGAPORE] If you fancy a good evening night out with good food and drinks, look no further as @gotti.sg got it handled. Splendid food, really good cocktails and entertaining bartenders and servers really made our evening here.

Being an Italian restaurant, Gotti executed their risotto and pizzas really well. Risotto Al Granchio 🩞 ($32) boasts a really delicious lobster bisque with bits of crabmeat that provided additional sweetness. There was the slight bite to the risotto that I was looking for too! Pesto E Burrata 🌿 ($36) pizza was a delight as well, with a fluffy chewy crust that was so well seasoned, and a pesto & burrata flavour combination that was rich and aromatic.

As for starters, Ceviche Di Capesante 🐚($32) was really refreshing with tangy, sweet and savoury flavours all coming through from the yuzu dressing, scallops and ikura. You can try to ask for their current hidden menu, which was their Beef Tartare 🐼 at that point of time. It was so fresh too!

Desserts can't be skipped here, with their Tiramisu 🍰 ($18) being a lovely end to the meal. They don't go easy with the liqueur in this, which made it so satisfying 😋

Their cocktails are definitely a speciality here, with the bartenders being so skillful. Their Old Fashioned đŸ„ƒ ($22) was really one of the best I've had, with the whisky blending so well with the cinnamon flavours. They can even do bespoke drinks, which is an experience to try 😍

They have speciality event nights with DJs playing running across several days in a week too... Gah there's just too many reasons to come here đŸ„č Everyone in the @gotti.sg team was so lively, and you can see their passion in their job through the food, drinks and service. Can't wait to be back for a good evening again. Thank you @gotti.sg for...
