———Location 📍——— Abit hidden, but if you are (or you have) a human GPS, should be no problem. ———Atmosphere ☁️——— OK, the place actually it's quite chill, but looks like the way they assigned the sits it's quite interesting, cause from what I read on their sign, they supposed to assigned sits for us (oh ya BTW, not sure whether it's we came on the non-peak hours or what, it is not that pack), but ultimately we just find our own sits cause the staff is busy. ———Food 🍱——— Best 素猪脚醋 I had in Singapore (ok, probably one of the best), really open the appetite. ———Service 💁‍♂️💁‍♀️💁——— The food serving speed is amazing. ———Pricing 💰——— Reasonable pricing. ———Miscellaneous 🌟——— NIL ———Overall 👌🏻——— First impression it's the limited sitting, inside and outside, all together probably only have 8+ table, which are not a lot, but doesn't affect the quality of the food!

Ordered yong tau Foo with curry gravy. Pay extra $2 for bowl of curry. Before paying tell the lady at counter to pls give me a bowl of soup.(complementary dry yong tau foo with rice) Was charge additional $0.50 from kitchen staff when lady say I want the soup. Have the meal n before going off, I talk to counter lady. If I ordered dried yong tau foo with rice, should I be given a bowl of soup. She say yes. Then y shd I pay additional soup money if I also pay for curry gravy. She say orh. Waited about an minute before leaving thought she will refund the additional charge but didn’t.

Vegetarian eatery with Aircon and non Aircon area. HK style claypot rice - Unlike some places who just fried rice and put inside the claypot + some toppings, the one over here is plain white rice with parts sticked and hardened on the claypot. Dark sauce to be added on our own and stir during consumption. Delicious. Sweet and Sour Monkey head mushroom was pretty good as well, with peppers and cashew nuts providing a good balance to the mushrooms which were coated in a sweet and sour sauce that wasn't overpowering. Service was fast despite the lunch hour crowd.

Food was mediocre, at best. I had kway chap and chicken rice. It was fairly average comparing with other vegetarian chicken rice and kway chaps, perhaps 2.5 stars. However what took the cake was the customer service (or lack thereof).

I went back to takeaway the chicken rice, and they did not give me the soup that is part of the set. I asked them for soup and they told me they don't do takeaways for soup. I tried to reason with them, telling them that it was for my family to try. Lady said that i needed to pay an extra dollar and she'd give me a slightly bigger bowl of soup packed, compared to the regular small bowl of soup that I'd get. I said it's fine i am content with the small soup. She continued to insist that if i didn't pay extra, she wouldn't give me the soup. I found this incredulous, as it was part of the set, and was available to any diner. Furthermore, i already paid extra to takeaway the food. She then walked away from me without a word while i sat there, letting me believe that she'd at least make attempt at helping me out. However after waiting there by myself for awhile, i realized that she just had no interest in "entertaining" me. All whilst i was being calm, logical, and reasonable.

While the food might be average if you live in the area, and while the crux of the matter might be a small amount of money, the principle still applies. Their respect for the customer and our right as a consumer is nonexistent and i would gladly never go back there to patronize the outlet and support it as a business, even if i lived upstairs. I would also like to warn everyone considering to takeaway or dine in at the place of their crass attitude and lack of empathy for the customer. It is ironic as the outlets values are rooted in Buddhism - about practicing compassion and kindness.

While other reviewers might review the place very superficially with a lack of depth, i am reviewing the place not just for its food, but as an entire establishment and a business, with its lack of ethics and...

Special Note: Place order and the staff will assign the seats

Have been supporting this vegetarian stall for a few years.

I always order the same food which is Yong Tau Foo. In recent years, Mala is very common and majority of vegetarian stores offer Mala Hotpot but Yong Tau Foo is lacking.

What’s different here would be the ingredients that is available for picking. My favourite will be red chilli with stuffings.

Apart from a variety of ingredients to choose from, the soup base can be changed as well. Slice Fish Soup Bak Ku Teh Soup Miso Soup Tom Yum Soup If I don’t remember wrongly, curry is available as soup base too!

Yam rice is another specialty. Brown/White rice is a common offering but Yam rice is definitely worth trying.

Though I’ve never waited more than 30min for a seat. There is definitely limited seating for this restaurant.

They also serve other interesting dishes in their menu and do keep a lookout for their daily special. Have tried few of the dishes and they are not bad. lastly, their sambal chilli has a very interesting flavour which you may not very often find...

Very happy that this place serves brown rice!

Ambience: 4 stars For the price, this place is very comfortable and cosy decor. A bit cramped though and be warned that the seating is mostly backless stools

Claypot Bak Kut Teh: 5 stars Includes monkey head mushrooms. Soup is flavourful without being too salty or rich.

“Kuay Chap”: 4.5 stars

Claypot Curry Veg: 4.25 stars Curry soup is delicious. Veggies are eggplant, okra, cabbage stems, and a lot of tau kwa.

Thai Style Chicken Chop: 4 stars Delicious and crispy batter, but I’m not a fan of the sweet chilli sauce (I guess that makes it Thai-style?). Also it comes with barely any veggies so must supplement.

Yong Tau Foo: 4 stars Selection is great. Portions a bit small so I would get more items next time

Sweet & Sour Monkey Head Mushroom Rice: 2 stars I’m not a fan of sweet and sour sauce in the first place, but also the portion of mushrooms was very small and didn’t come with any veggies...
