Had a long day today and wanted something comforting for dinner. Googled and found this claypot rice stall in Jurong West 498. Saw the review not bad and so we decided to head down and give it a try.
Had been almost 2 decades since I last came and eat in this coffee shop. Had beautiful childhood memories when I was attending secondary school nearby.
We ordered a small portion claypot rice and a claypot pork liver. The coffeeshop has a good crowd having claypot rice and I reckon it must be good ๐.
And after a short wait, our dinner is served. Total $23 for serving for 2 pax. First try the rice ๐ fragrance and the chicken was very tender and soft. Probably our was a small serving so I personally find the lup Chong and salted fish is a little less in portion. Otherwise it would have been perfect.
The claypot pork liver was a killer. The pork liver was cooked to near if not perfect doneness. The pork liver was thick cut but all nicely and even cooked. No part of it was raw or undercooked. Mamamia
I would say this stall really has some good ๐ offering for us to return and try the rest of their dishes again.

Claypot chicken rice is very good with generous portion of chicken, well seasoned and super tender. Most importantly the rice has that layer of perfectly burnt crisp, which is a must have for any delicious claypot chicken rice. Though I would love to have more salted fish kicks, but still this is already very well done.
Claypot liver is a must try. I got to give it to this even though I'm not much of a pork liver guy. Tenderness really hitting the sweet spot, cooked very nicely with the fragrant chinese wine. Surely the best pork liver I have tried.
Sesame chicken is also very delicious with the chicken cooked to perfect tenderness and well seasoned loaded in sesame oil.
All the dishes we ordered sure are a hit for us, and very reasonably priced. Definitely will come back again.
Missed out the photos as too busy stirring the rice and claypot liver, cant help but to dig in right after that. Will make up with photos on...
