Very nice and polite indian waiter...and this is the only good thing to say about this place. Interior design...well nothing to do with India...but this is a small thing. The worst is food, really! If I was the owner of this place Chef from this shift would be fired in 5 seconds.
First impression...Lemonade served in dirty glass, with some kind of black crumbles inside. Changed to new one.
Soup #1 - supposed to be a light vegetable, spicy, soup. Well...it was spicy water with aldente vegetables. Really! Water! Not a veggie bullion or anything like that, just a water.
Soup #2 - basically the same...water but this time with added to the water soya or fish sauce...tasted so awful that could not be eaten.
Lamb - sorry, don't remember Indian name. In the menu it had 3 hot peppers 🌶 so it supposed to be hot, much hotter then the soup #1 which had 1 pepper 🌶. Well...it was a lamb dipped in oil without any taste what so ever. No herbs, no spices, and most of all it was not hot at all!
Butter chicken - was quite OK, except that it was hot whereas it shouldn't have been.
Good was only rice and Naan bread with garlic.
We were honest with the waiter so in the end we were not charged for the soups...but this was thanks to the writer's intervention...and I assume someone tried the soups also:) Probably for the first time:)
Few hours later we felt really heavy on our stomachs and simply did not feel good. I eat Indian food often, even few times a week, ordering food from small family owned Indian restaurant in Warsaw. Food is always light, full of flavors, full of spices...and simply does not cause any digestive problems.
If someone from the management of the restaurant reads opinions then he/she really should try to eat sth there. Or start using secret customer to check it out cause may be management gets good food and customers get something like what we had.
Dear Chef of Safran...you should be ashamed of what you made for us today. Real Indian 👨🍳 would not even spit on it.
In general...we recommend to go around this place big time, unless you want to meet a nice Indian waiter and listen to nice Indian English accent that can not be mistaken with anything else:) But don't order...
Read more**“I visited Safran restaurant today, and it was truly a delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, the place felt welcoming, clean, and well-maintained. The presentation of the dishes was impressive, and the food itself was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully served, making the whole meal feel special.
What really stood out was the service. Akshay, along with the rest of the team, was extremely friendly and attentive. He made sure everything was perfect, and his professional yet warm attitude left a lasting impression. It’s always refreshing to see staff so genuinely eager to make guests feel comfortable.
The total bill came to 37 euros, which was a bit on the higher side, but the quality of the food and the friendly service more than made up for it. Safran is definitely a place I would consider visiting again, especially thanks to Akshay’s efforts and the lovely,...
Read moreI am so confused of this place of what it even is, it does not look authentic at all, is like a cantina in a resort with some indian elements on tables, however there are big tv screens with soccer going on. but anyway the very strange part is the staff that was more confused than me, there were so many waiters doing something yet nothing seemed to be done. The person who seemed to be head waiter was badly groomed and didnt seem to care for whatever was happening in the restaurant. We waited 20 minutes for simple drinks to arive and 40 minutes for food. Besides the fact the food was not even good, I think woever created the recipes only visited india on google maps. There were no flavours, no spices, no love. And thr prices are too high for the minimum service and quality of food provided. Its just a very...
