Trattoria Moretti Restaurant — Restaurant in Nitra

We came in from the street without browsing reviews or checking star ratings from Google Maps. Later I was very surprised to find such a low rating, 3.5 at the time of writing. It is true that food took a LONG time to prepare even though we were the only guests who ordered that time. But based on the 3 dishes we ate I think it's well worth the wait. The food served was virtually appealing and plain delicious. The menu itself is extensive and imaginative. This is definitely not the type of cuisine you'd think of finding sitting in the touristy walking street next to a Chinese restaurant (named Panda like all of them in Slovakia) and across from the pretty ugly theater building. There are not many restaurants that I mark as "definitely visit again" but this one is. Just make sure to know there will be a longer wait. Restaurant in the city center, pleasant location and interior. Unfortunately the service was confused and unhelpful and the food was disappointing. We ordered soup and pizza sticks for two. The tomato soup was not warm enough and bland, more sweet than anything else. They didn't bring the pizza sticks until after we finished the soup (and we weren't rushing), so we ordered two sauces - the yogurt one was actually mayonnaise, and they didn't bring the cheese sauce after we finished eating the pizza bread. Just a typical "Italian" tourist trap restaurant. Service is basically non existing and most of the staff lack the basic English skills. Many dishes on the menu they don't have but the waitresses don't know this, instead they come back to to later and ask to order something else.
