Reštaurácia Panda — Restaurant in Zvolen

I have been visiting this place for a while, and pretty much all the time it was for lunch. I have gone from La Carte to Buffet. I must say that La Carte choice is not bad at all. Buffer however always the same but quality & choice is appropriate as it's not a place I visit very regularly.

Food: Decent Quality, big portions in La Carte, a lot of choice of dishes. Buffet is warm & regularly refilled, choice is decent, however menu in buffer never changes. I'd suggest choosing noodles over rice. Food is highly recommended category.

Sitting: The tables arrangement is pretty decent. majority of tables accomodate four people, its clean and adequately decorated. Few round tables can accomodate bigger families or gatherings.

Staff: Pretty bland, attentive but not affectionate or very friendly. I know chinese have very different category of being polite & being friendly but I expect those living in West Cultures / Countries must know how to behave accordingly. I normaly dont like cashiers talking over the phone with their friends or family while printing my bill, and not being attentive to me rather cam chatting etc. Once it happend when waiter took my (La carte) and the chinese staff being on phone lost my order & I was waiting for more than hour and second reminder ended up food being served.

But over all they work pretty well, majority of the time things worked pretty well.

Toilets: Didn't use, so no idea.

Parking: No free parking, only (paid) public parking available in front of the restaurant. Free parking may be available in vicinity but it will be a decent walk to...

I got very mixed feelings from this place. On one hand it offers variety of food with decent taste. When visiting, we went for "all you can eat" were the choice is very poor (extremely poor to none, when you extend "all you can eat + sushi" - you have to get lucky to find some sushi). One of the meals which literally disgusted me was "slovak smoked pork meat" cooked probably with sweet chilly sauce (Avoid!). The staff was polite but don't expect any emotions or enthusiasm. The biggest problem was the extremely slippery floor. I don't know if they clean it with oil or what... While my visit, I saw a guest who fell because he slipped. Túto reštauráciu som navštívil nakoľko som mal chuť na čínu a mám rád aj švédske stoly. Hodnotenia na internete mala dobré. Interiér reštaurácie je príjemný, zladený do čínskeho štýlu a čo sa týka švédsky stolov, máte na výber z rôznych jedál. Ja som sa tam zastavil o 18:00 a už im aj niečo chýbalo z jedál, ale postupne časom doplnili.

Polievky som ochutnal, na výber boli kurací vývar a ostrokyslá. Kurací vývar ma veľmi sklamal, jednak bol veľmi kyselý a hlavne aj slaný a dosť bolo cítiť z nej vyvarený bujón. Ostrokyslá je tu ozaj kyslá a jemne pikantná, tá sa dala zjesť, ale osobne mi chutia radšej sladšie. Čo ma potešilo bola chuť kuracieho v mede a sézame, vynikajúce a celkovo kura obaľovane bolo veľmi chutné so zemiakmi a kroketami. Na druhý tanier som si dal výber z čínskych pokrmov, bohužiaľ, úplne chuťový priemer až podpriemer. Celkovo kuracina kyslá, tofu v sójovke, pečienka tvrdá, ryžové rezance a aj opekané rezance chutili ako z lavného bistra a celkovo celý tanier bol chuťovo nevýrazný a prebíjala mi tam všetko sójová omáčka, na ktorej ozaj nešetrili. Bohužiaľ bol som tým pádom veľmi sklamaný z číny… Pozitívne je, že čapujú originál kofolu a celkovo som zaplatil za švédske stoly s 5dcl kofoly sumu 8,10€.
