La Cantina — Restaurant in Maribor

In the middle of a summer heat wave, I got a beer served in a hot glass! Well, the handle was still hot and the beer was glass temperature. They were supposed to be brewers. I guess, that's just marketing.

The beer is otherwise fair, the pizza is also fair - both are not bad, nothing special.

They consider themselves to be a high-quality pizzeria and have prices to match. Therefore, I assume that the staff are paid fairly and I don't see any need for the waiter to extort the tip - he put a sign in front of my face asking me to choose the tip amount from three options. This is not the USA and even if it was, I dont tip if I dont find it appropriate myself. Anyway - a worm glass does not...

We made a reservation for 5, asking for space enough for a stroller (we have a baby). On arriving we got a table at a narrow walkway, so neither other guests nor the waitress could walk by our stroller. After an obvious we dont give a f... from the staff we left utterly disapointed, hungry, angry and sad. Reservation was made well in advance and it allso seemed, like they had another table ready, but it got taken by some other guests and the staff didn't care about us since it was a bussy day and there were other guests waiting. I have a mixed experience with the place. The food itself is good. The service was ok the first time there, normal. But was greatly disappointed upon my other visit. Waited for an hour to get the food we ordered, no one checked what was going on with us. Even after we've complained about the wait time. The younger waiters didn't have a handle on things or appropriate communication skills. As for my evaluation.. even though it's an ok place to eat. I shall not be recommending it to...
