Verace — Restaurant in Nova Gorica

Restaurant ar the edge of town. Has a nice courtyard.

Pizza was outstanding. But the service made it even better. We came in with to small children who had travelled all day. Nothing but smiles and assurances that everything would be fine and it was exactly that. Some toys and books were brought to the table. And the smallest child could walk around freely without troubles.

The waitress took the time to explain and translate everything on the menu. Which was very kind.

I like the place, has homy feel, locals also dine here which adds to the overall experience. We had 3 different pizzas and some beers. Reservoir dogs ipa is a good local brewed beer, fresh, thanks a lot to staff for this recommendation. Pizzas were also great, I liked the dough. When we sat down for dinner we noticed that only one person is working in the restaurant. She was busy taking orders, preparing drinks, bringing food, making bills,... We were already expecting a long wait. It took more than half hour before we were served drinks. After that the disaster continued. The rucola in the salad was rotten and the pizza dough was chewy.
