The staff is... maybe not that efficient and polite... but still very friendly and bubbly.
We ordered basic tea and ginger tea, both were ok, I guess. Nothing special.
Had to wait for the food for quite some time (about 40-45 min, maybe more), but I would say it was definitely worth the wait, and I can’t wait to come here again, to eat the gnocchi Bolognese I got to try at this restaurant. Delicious. Perfectly balanced sauce, good quality meat, fresh (frozen-but still delicious) homemade gnocchi and the Parmesan cheese they added... delicious. Perfectly cooked and flavourful.
The price - medium to high I would say. But I would pay again to eat here. As I wrote, the food here is great. (The food, ambient and staff maybe not on the same level.)
Ambient inside, I would re-arrange the space inside, to make it more welcoming, so you don’t step in to the bar counter in the first second of entering the restaurant. I would love to see more space and privacy between each table as well. But it does seem like they do care about their interior at least. The furniture was high quality, well made. The walls were nicely decorated, with hand written boards. Not bad. But the overall space would be more pleasant with the proposed changes. 😊
Can’t wait to come here again – for the food.
Edit: We visited the restaurant again. The gnocchi are very good. The consistency could be a bit better. The last portion didn’t have enough sauce, the dish was a bit dry. Read moreGood pizza outside the Ljubljana centre. But the waiting time is just too long and it spoils the whole perception. Also, we were there sitting at the table dying of hunger, while those people who ordered pizzas to-go, got them before us, which was really annoying to watch. Absolutely make sure you reserve in advance, as they had to reject like 10+ customers just during our lunch there. It's very popular and it has very limited tables and space. The parking, very kind waitresses and good pizza saved this place from getting a 3 star. The pizza itself resembles very very much like the one at Verace in the Ljubljana centre, so we compare it to that one. You need to reserve tables at both, and yes, there is only payable parking at Verace. But you get the pizza at Verace in like 5 minutes and the dough is slightly lighter and more pristine verace style. Also they manage to melt the cheese a little more, so you get very little or no unmelted mazzarella at Verace (which we prefer more). So, for people from the cetre it's an easy choice. They both have roads nearby. So it's more of a stop and go place in both cases. You can't get too comfortable at any of them.
Uodate: we gave it another chance and unfortunately we have to drop another star. The service was even worst, and the simplest dish on the planet, the Cacio è Pepe, was simply bad. One of the two ingredients, Pepe, seemed to be missing entirely. While the Cacio tasted more like a regular cheese of some sort. It didn't taste like they would even use the pastas boiling water to mix the Cacio. It was a disappointment overall. Not coming...
Read moreTOP PIZZERIA❗️ Drugi dan naše posjete Ljubljani odlučili smo otići u Peruzzu, pizzeriju koja se već duže vrijeme nalazi na samom vrhu mog popisa pizzerija koje želim posjetiti, a za koju sam dobio puno preporuka sa svih strana. Budući da sam se kao i uvijek malo raspitao i na neki način unaprijed pripremio za odlazak u Peruzzu saznao sam kako je glavni pizza majstor Aleš Rekar, iskusni pizza majstor koji je ujedno i predsjednik slovenske udruge Picopekov. Njegov je dvanaestogodišnji sin, Brin Rekar, jedan od najmlađih pizza majstora ne samo u Sloveniji već i u Europi, a nastupio je do sada i na nekoliko velikih međunarodnih natjecanja. Peruzza se nalazi u gradskoj četvrti Rudnik na adresi Peruzzijeva ulica 63. Ulica je dobila ime po slovenskom kiparu Svitoslavu Peruzziju pa se i pizzerija očito odlučila za isti naziv. U pizzeriju smo stigli u kasnim poslijepodnevnim satima, a parkirali smo na velikom parkingu odmah pored ulaza. Iako je bio radni dan pizzerija je bila poprilično popunjena pa smo morali malo pričekati da nam simpatična konobarica pronađe slobodan stol. Atmosfera je prava domaća, topla i opuštena. Iznad našeg se stola na zidu nalazila talijanska Vespa, a cijela je pizzerija uređena poput većine talijanskih pizzerija koje smo posjetili. Budući da smo kao i dan prije lijepo vrijeme iskoristili za duge šetnje bili smo poprilično gladni. U ponudi se nalazi dvadesetak pizza, a na kraju je ponude istaknuta pizza mjeseca koja se obično svojim sastojcima u nadjevima uklapa u određeno godišnje doba. Naručili smo Burratu i Stracciatellu. Ako ste pomislili kako nisam naručio svoju omiljenu pizzu, prevarili ste se. U Peruzzi se pizza s mortadelom i pistacijom zove Stracciatella zbog stracciatelle koja je uz mortadelu i zrnca pistacije jedan od glavnih sastojaka. Burrata je nešto lakša pizza s mozzarelom, rukolom i naravno, velikom burratom. Čim su nam pizze stigle na stol shvatili smo zašto je Peruzza proglašena jednom od najboljih slovenskih pizzerija. 👀 Pizze su i izgledom i okusom doslovno savršene napoletane. A savršene napoletane imaju tijesto koje je zbog dugog procesa fermentacije izrazito fino, ukusno i što je najbitnije, izuzetno lagano. Upravo je takvo tijesto koje pravi Peruzza, a nadjevi su složeni od kvalitetnih sastojaka. Međutim, kako ne bi ispalo da uvijek samo beskrajno hvalim pizzerije koje posjetim, moram istaknuti i jedan mali nedostatak. Naime, dogodilo mi se nešto o čemu sam već pisao nakon posjete vinkovačkoj pizzeriji Vatikan. Iako se pizza s mortadelom i pistacijom smatra jednom od najpoznatijih bijelih pizza, dobio sam pizzu na kojoj je u nadjevu bio umak od rajčice. To mi se, dakle, dogodilo drugi put u zadnjih pet, šest godina otkad naručujem ovu pizzu, a naručio sam je sigurno više od stotinjak puta u različitim europskim pizzerijama. Pretpostavljam da je ideja bila biti drugačiji od drugih, ali osobno mi se nikako ne sviđa kombinacija umaka od rajčice uz mortadelu s pistacijom. Ovu pizzu doživljavam kao bijelu, a ne kao crvenu pizzu. Pizza je fina i ukusna, pelat nije pretjerano kiselkast i pojeo sam je s užitkom, ali puno bih bio sretniji da se u nadjevu nalazio pesto od bosiljka ili pistacije. Da sam to primijetio prije same narudžbe vjerojatno bih umjesto svoje omiljene izabrao Biancu ili Genovese. Bianca je bijela pizza sa slaninom od sušenih svinjskih obraza, sušenim rajčicama i sokom od naranče, a Genovese je pizza s dimljenim pršutom, sušenim rajčicama i pestom alla genovese po kojem je i dobila ime. Sve u svemu, odlazak u Peruzzu bio je pun pogodak. Peruzza je odlična pizzerija koja pravi moderne napoletanske pizze gotovo savršenog tijesta, a siguran sam da će u poprilično raznovrsnoj ponudi svatko pronaći svoju omiljenu pizzu. Bez obzira volite li lagane ili nešto teže pizze. Posjetio sam do sada velik broj slovenskih pizzerija i bez imalo dvojbi mogu kazati kako je Peruzza pizzerija koja se nalazi u samom vrhu slovenske...
