PRIMI Constantia — Restaurant in Constantia

A very appealing restaurant, surrounded by beautiful oak trees in Constantia Old Village Mall. It has Italian flair and an alive and strong atmosphere, casual but not too much so. Very friendly, efficient, respectful staff and really good food. I had the Pasta Carbonara which was excellent, and my partner a delicious pizza with four different cheeses, red onion marmalade and rocket. It was sublime. We had to start a anti pasto platter with delicious meat and cheese and olives, peppers together, and it was more then we could finish. Had the worse supper every, table opposite 2 moms with 3 children out of control running up and down in restaurant, I was seated on a chair my fiancé on the coach section by the window where one of the children was running pass her backside up and down, actually touching her and screaming, these 2 ladies just talking and saying sorry but doing nothing, out of control children and definitely not discipline at all, these were white families, if it had to be colored or african families I believe they would've approached the table and ladies, we left the restaurant with a headache, when outside another family was complaining to the manager, but still nothing was done concerning this matter, sitting in a restaurant when 3 children running up and down like playing at a...

I have eaten here so many times, and the last time I ate was a complete insult. Took 20 minutes to get service in a completely empty restaraunt, after-which a jam jar of R200 came with all ice no alcohol. The only waiter only shift then proceeded go leave to have a smoke and came back smelly like an ashtray. We then ordered a long Island ice tea which came after the food was made and brought out. The rump steak I ordered was incredibly tough and was removed from the bill. The aurora pasta I ordered came without cream and then they replaced it, pasta brought on the harder side of aldente. Also removed from the bill. Broccoli came raw. Pizza was cold. Garlic and chili brought after we finished eating.

I do not send food back but this was awful.
