I don't know why but the overall quality of the Steers brand seems to have declined significantly over the years.
I've previously had multiple negative experiences with another branch, hence the move to this one.
While the quality and presentation of what they produce is better than others and they have previously been very helpful when they experience delays, etc, our most recent order was a complete disaster.
I place orders directly on the Steers website for collection since it's usually quicker than having it delivered. We waited for more than an hour for an order that was meant to be 25 minutes. The reason for this was that they had actively chosen to prioritise all delivery orders via their partner platforms over and above the website orders for collection.
I do understand that with the pressure of curfew and the need to generate revenue is immense but you cannot neglect customers who have paid you directly and are made to stand in the store, along with everyone else, plus delivery drivers, while their orders are ignored and put on hold so everyone else can be attended to first.
After eventually receiving the order, the burgers weren't marked properly, we couldn't tell the difference between the hot or lemon and herb chicken (it all looked and smelled identical, I still have no idea it any of it was actually hot) and in the end, it was just an annoying experience.

Read moreI am usually tolerant of average service and do not often complain, but the service I received this evening was completely unacceptable. I placed an order via the app at 7 pm. By 8 pm, there was no update, so I called the store. Unfortunately, my first call went unanswered. On my second attempt, the person informed me that they were short on delivery staff and assured me that the food was on its way. However, 1.5 hours later, the order still had not arrived. I called again and was transferred to a manager who promised to get back to me but failed to do so. After a third call, now 2 hours later, I was assured once more that the food was en route. The delivery finally arrived 2 hours and 45 minutes later, by which time we had already ordered from another establishment. Given the lengthy delay, we were not going to accept the food, as it would have been cold by that point. Based on previous reviews, it appears that this is a recurring issue at this establishment. As a long-standing customer, I am deeply disappointed and strongly recommend that the owner address the need for better-trained staff. I regret to say that you have lost a loyal customer due to this experience. I sincerely hope that the management takes steps to improve their service quality and communication to prevent such incidents in the future. Read moreThe manager Owen. He was and is a very unpleasant individual. When we came inside to order he was busy doing some sort of paper work and checking. There was no one else behind the counter. He looked at us and carried on with what he was doing. Never said a word.
The kitchen staff told him to help and his response was I will be with you now I’m busy with a very bad attitude.
Eventually after waiting about 15 minutes he helped us. Kept getting confused with what we wanted and a constant attitude when responding to us. He has Zero customer ethics and has no computer training skills he was taking forever to put our order in on the system.
We were not the only people who complained another family came in and the gentleman even said to the manager Owen that he is very unprofessional and disrespectful. The family then left after having an altercation and the gentlemen’s wife came back in and tried to get the managers details and took images but he was going off with this lady aswell.
I seriously hope something will be done with this. At the end of the day it’s a service and it was done very poorly. Even the food was horrific. Chips were awful and burger was beyond salty will not be going here again unless things change. Why pay for such...
