Pasadena Spur — Restaurant in Drakenstein Local Municipality

I would like to share feedback regarding our visit on Sunday. We regularly visit your branch after work for a drink while our kids play, and we’ve always enjoyed the experience. However, our recent visit for a 3rd birthday celebration was unfortunately very disappointing.

Although the restaurant was busy, it was still manageable. We placed our order, but it took an unusually long time to arrive. My husband and I typically order the Kickstart breakfast and request to exchange the hash brown for chips — something that has never been an issue before. However, when our food arrived, there were no chips, and my plate included a hash brown. Additionally, my toast was burnt, and the cheese sauce was cold.

I approached the manager to have my meal reheated and to request the chips we had ordered. The waiter later informed us that the exchange could not be done, which was confusing since it has always been accommodated in the past.

To make matters worse, my son’s food took so long to arrive that the children had lost interest and didn’t eat when it finally came. The host of the birthday party had to repeatedly ask for the food, for Spur to sing the birthday song, and even for the bill.

Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, especially considering the great service we’ve always received in the past. I hope you will look into this matter to ensure better service for...

We had my son’s 3rd birthday party at Pasadena Spur this morning (26/10/25) at 10:00 with only 5 children. We placed our orders early while it was still quiet, but once the restaurant became busier, service unfortunately went downhill. Everyone who arrived well after us received their food , and we ended up waiting so long that the kids started eating cupcakes because they were hungry.

When the food finally arrived, one order was wrong, and it was clear it had been standing for some time — the cheese sauce had set, and the food was cold. I personally had to go ask a few times about the food, why is everyone else getting their food and we're not, the kids’ ice creams, and for someone to come sing for my son, as the little ones were starting to get restless.

The kids did enjoy the play area, which was a plus, but overall the service was really disappointing for what was meant to be a special morning. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this experience was unfortunately...

Came here for dinner lastnight and had an incredible experience! Our waitress was so great, so sad I didn't catch her name cause she was brilliant - always checking in on us and making sure we had everything we needed, plus just a genuinely kind soul.

I ordered the original spur beef burger with chips and onion rings. The meal was perfect and delicious (even getting my no tomato order correct), and the chips were on point! My partner ordered the double cheese beef burger and his feedback was just as great.
