My last review was two years ago. Today is the 9th July 2025 and I've been here plenty times between the two reviews. I make it a point to introduce everyone I can to this beautiful establishment. I'm here on a Wednesday afternoon... it's chilled vibes, only two other tables are occupied. There's some beautiful slow jazz playing in the restaurant. I ordered potato skins (a firm favourite) and an ice cold Savanna (for control). I'm definitely ordering something for supper... either the seafood risotto or some ribs. Service is friendly and professional, as always. I still highly recommend a visit to either the Cow Shed (restaurant) or the more relaxed Milk Shed side.

Today was my second visit to the restaurant. My first visit was weekday evening, at the bar side of the establishment but today I went for a weekday lunch at the restaurant side. The menu is the same so, you get to have the food whichever side you sit in. Both times it was not very busy. The food here has been amazing both times. Their serving sizes are very generous. The staff was friendly and attentive both times. I will certainly be back and would recommend it to anyone - for solo, couple or...

The service was good at the beginning, but it all went downhill. There was an older gentleman that went around to check on the tables and walked pass our table multiple times . Not even our waitress came to check up on us . I ordered a drink and asked if they could bring it with my food . My food was brought and I assumed my drink was on its way .We waited about an hour before we decided to leave. The old gentleman then cleaned up all the other tables besides our table. I asked multiple waitresses about my order and nobody came back to . I then stood up and requested for my bill . My drink was only brought to me while i was paying the bill . Which I declined . There was a young gentleman that attempted to apologise but it wasn’t sincere. It felt forced. The older gentleman cleared our table while we were leaving the restaurant. I hope this is a...

We had the opportunity to visit this establishment on Saturday, 12/11/16. As with most establishments, you inevitably are faced with a table or two being rowdy or overbearing on what is meant to be a quiet, sophisticated dinner. The Cow Shed provided a pleasant ambience and the decor presents it's self as a family friendly eatery. Now, one would easy expect to be set back a fortune for fine dining. In all honesty, the pricing compares to that of most family restaurants here in East London. The portions are ample and the cost is honestly affordable. Guys, it is time to put on those formal shoes, a dress shirt and treat the special person in your life to some fine dining. Being cost effective and providing a menu for meat lovers, The Cow Shed should be the new nook to watch. They may need bigger premises in the...

I arrived at the restaurant and was served immediately with friendly staff. There wasn't that many seats available so booking in advance might be needed if you plan on coming in a group or more than 2 people. I ordered a Salted Caramel Milkshake, and a Beef and Reef. The milkshake was one of the best I've had, it had a nice sweet and creamy taste, without being to overpowering on sweetness. And when it came to my meal, the steak was exactly medium as ordered, the shrimp was deveined and had a nice butter taste. It's just my preference but the onion rings and chips, I would have preferred crisper. Overall it was a nice experience, just due to personal preference I gave it a 4/5.

Great prices and wonderful atmosphere. The service did take a little while but given there was one waiter in the section it wasn’t too bad. Loved the owners going to check in on us during the evening. The food was alright, just needed a little seasoning on the burger patty, the chips where delightful. The milkshake was a bit of a let down, it needed to be blended a little better for a smoother consistency. The cocktails were great. And great value for money.
