Simple — Restaurant in Eastern Cape

Nice food but terrible service. I have given this place 3 tries and each time I received Horrible service. First the manager was rude to me when I asked about my order, The second time the waiter refused to add the syrup that comes with the waffle meal and my order took 45 minutes to arrive and Yesterday (14th May 2023) my order took more than 1 hour to arrive, They gave everyone who arrived after us food before us, We arrived at 9:30am and finally got our order at 11am then they gave my order to someone else and when i asked about it they started a new order for me and it was still the wrong order. What a lovely experience we had yesterday when visiting Simple for coffee and cake. The newly renovated interior is modern, spacious and light, with fans everywhere, and the stack away doors fully open. The carrot cake, whilst a teeny bit dry, was really yummy, with a generous amount of icing (a very important criterion to me). What a breath of fresh air. We are regulars at Salt but this was our fist time at Simple. Letta was great, prompt service despite the restaurant filling up and she was on her own. Refilled our glasses, big tick! The wine was a delicious sauvignon blanc and reasonably priced. My wife had a fillet wrap with a side salad, which she pronounced superb.
