The kitchen closes at 15h00 on Sundays, but drinks & cakes are served until 16h00. There's free wifi & plug-points, so it's not a bad option for working. The staff don't hamper you but they are sufficiently attentive. It smells like an English garden, & they sell a lot of roses, but also a lot of indigenous species. They have a wide variety of Aloes, they also sell Carissa (Natal plum), & a wide variety of other plants. The nursery is incredibly neat & the plants are pristine 👌🏻

Lovely mid day coffee break and catch up spot. Tone of the resturant is very quite with a classical music theme. Was slightly disappointed in the coffee as there is very little skill from the brista and the taste was shocking, however the orange and lemon muffin was great! Love the idea of outdoor sitting area where parents can be watch their kids on a playground.

The food was delicious. I love the eggs benedict and was to die for!. They have a variety of options to choose from for breakfast and lunch and drinks. The scenic view is also lovely. It is so nice to walk through the garden and look at the flowers. Great service..delicious food. There is a place for children to also play. Very safe. Would recomend.

We've been here twice now. Both occasions weren't a good experience. The food takes too long after ordering. Coffee shops are all about conversation. One can't have a conversation if you sit inside because the echo is very bad. One large gathering in there and you find yourself competing against their volume. The food is mediocre at best. I had the English breakfast with mushrooms instead of bacon. The mushrooms tasted like they were about to turn. My eggs on the other hand were perfectly done and I wish I'd been given the option of what type of bread I want for my toast because they brought me ciabatta bread which I don't like. The service was good however. Our water was on top of all our requests and made up for the noise and so-so mushrooms. I would rather go to one of the many other options before going back here again. Give them a try though. I'd recommend sitting outside if the...

Awfully noisy. Can't hear yourself think and really most unpleasant if you want to enjoy any conversation with friends. Bad design. They had the perfect plot to position the building to protect from the Westerly and Easterly winds. Instead they built them without any thought to this. We eventually sat outside to avoid the terrible noise and got blown away instead. At least we could enjoy each other's company instead if shouting at each other above the din. Oh and their lemon cakes are good! Compared to the lovely gracious tea experience in the old property on William Moffatt this was awful. I won't be back, sorry. Even for the delicious cake. Sherwood has much nicer gentler experience and even more...

We went to the Rose Garden on Sunday (Mother's Day), and I'm not entirely sure whether the staff and kitchen were tired from the rush, or if the service has just gone downhill in general. When we went there in Jan/Feb it was great. So it's really disappointing that the standard wasn't upheld. We weren't served our drinks until our food arrived, the food wasn't tasty, the salad/sambal wasn't fresh and service was rushed/some staff seemed annoyed. It's a beautiful venue so it's a pity that we won't spend our money...
