Happy Hong Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Emalahleni Local Municipality

If you come to this place for Sushi then you will not be disappointed. But, if you come for anything other than that you might be very disappointed like I was.

If your order something like the Sweet and Sour pork then they will give you a few balls of bread dough with a tiny piece of pork. Same with the Sweet and Sour Spare Ribs, you will get mostly bread dough and a little piece of spare rib that is mostly bone anyway. Meanwhile the dough was not even cooked properly ... and uncooked pork is a health hazard so I hope they at least properly cook it.

After bringing this up with the owner she said that this is how it is and if I don't like it I can just go to another Chinese restaurant.

So I definitely will, since portions for the same price at all other Chinese restaurants I've been to gave generous portions of pork and it was well cooked with a good sauce.

Would definitely not recommend eating here...

SPENDING THOUSANDS PER VISIT AND RECEIVE BROWN DRIED OUT NORI ON HAND ROLLS, BROWN OLD AVOCADO IN ALL MOST ITEMS, SERVER NOT UNDERSTAND CUSTOMER OR MENU. PORTION SIZES SHRUNK BY HALF. SALMON CUT SO THIN IT LOOKS AS IF THERE IS NONE ON IT. THE RICE USED WAS NOT THE SUSHI RICE EITHER. WHAT WENT WRONG HAPPY HONG. 9 YEARS WE SUPPORTED YOU MONTHLY. NOW YOU DO NOT CARE. WE WILL NOT BE BACK IF THIS IS THE SERVICE PROVIDED BY HAPPY...

Horrible experience and not worth the wait for the food. We ordered sushi and were told to wait 45 minutes. We waited 90 minutes for our food. In the meantime, 6 other people came and ordered sushi after us and their meals were prepared immediately and got their food way before we did. We did not have any complicated order or anything, just waited for almost an hour before they even started on...
