Burger King Norwood Drive Drive-Thru (Halaal) — Restaurant in Gauteng

At around 21:25 on the 1st of December, 2020, my friend and I went to the drive-through at Burger King Norwood. We ordered 3 King Value double cheese-burger meals, and asked to get the drinks and fries upsized to large, like we usually do, and we paid for the meals, the total for which was exactly R139.20. Upon receiving the meals, we were handed 3 small drinks instead of the large ones that we ordered and paid for, and when we told the woman serving us about this error, she began to tell us that what we're asking for is against the rules for said meal, and that we aren't allowed large drinks even though we paid for them. When we showed her our slip, she began to berate us, and insisted that we shouldn't get what we paid for. When we asked to see the manager, so that we can sort this misunderstanding out, she told us that she is the manager and insisted that because she runs the establishment, she makes the rules. This went on for about 4 minutes.

Eventually, after an unusually long wait, we were handed our food at around 21:34, and headed home. When we got to the house, we discovered that the fries were stale, as well as the patties in the burger, which were also burnt.

So instead of your manager sorting out misunderstandings with customers like an adult, she gives us stale, burnt food, as well as poor service in exchange for my hard earned money, Burger King Norwood gets a 1-star rating, and loses two loyal and...

This has become a home away from home, for many reasons-

Fast service and super friendly staff. They don't have that "I get paid to smile and serve you" attitude, the staff and management genuinely care about their customers having a great experience every time and if you don't THEY WILL FIX IT!

Hot, fresh, succulent food- the chicken is always well cooked. My favourite burger is the potato bun Crispy chicken. Their wings are always juicy and filling and those chips are on point every time- filled with my favourite 'crispies'- The little bits that nobody else normally likes.

Value for your money- if you're on a tight budget, R100- R150 is more than enough for 2 people to enjoy, with sides.

Overall their kitchen is always spotlessly clean and its in full view of the customer, never once did I get that horrid stale oil smell or any other unpleasant odours, which is a huge deciding factor for me.

Went through the Drive Thru after abot 20 minutes wait we arrived at the order point, the lady was quiet on the speaker. We waited and decided to drive forward thinking maybe there is mulfunction with the speaker. But as soon as we move forward , we heard the car behind us being served . When arriving by the payment window and we tell the lady what happened she laughed as if we are stupid and asked us to join the que inside and place the order. Like really? After waiting for so long we have to join the que inside again! She did not take us serious at all. Even when we asked for the manager she laughed and said " Lebo ke ba batho ba hao" . Lol what a service!

Bad service. Here you are served according to how you look and what you drive. Pathetic, I remember even the manager (Lebogang) we asked to see concerning the bad service we received she was also smirking with an attitude as if our complain was...
