Cairo Kitchen is more than just a restaurant; it's an immersive culinary experience that transports you straight to the heart of Egypt. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The tranquil setting, coupled with ample space for children to play, makes it an ideal spot for a family outing.

The food is undoubtedly the star of the show. Every dish is a testament to the rich and diverse flavors of Egyptian cuisine. Each bite is a delightful explosion of spices and textures. The service is equally impressive, with attentive staff who are passionate about sharing their culture. The owner's personal touch, taking the time to educate customers about Egyptian traditions, adds an extra layer of authenticity to the dining experience.

Whether you're a seasoned foodie or a curious newcomer to Egyptian cuisine, Cairo Kitchen is a must-visit. It's a place where you can savor delicious food, relax in a serene ambiance, and learn about a...

This was my first time getting food from Cairo kitchen (takeaway). My expectations have been surpassed. I ordered the meal for 1 (protein+salad+dip and bread), all of which were exceptional!

I have not had a type of bread like this before, flaky, light, and delicious and just different. If I knew the bread was THAT good, I probably would have gotten 2 or 3. Treat yourself and get the extra bread to clean up all those juices.

Every component of the meal was well seasoned and so flavourful. The owner (Bassim) is incredibly warm and friendly and knowledgeable, and the service was quick. It's always a good sign when the owner is there, inside the restaurant. The portions were also quite generous.

Perfect place to have some wine with a date and enjoy all the delicious mezze sharing style dishes.

I'd highly recommend this establishment, and I'm definitely...

The setting is quiant ,clean and situated in a pleasant area.

It is humble yet classy.

The owner came to our table a few times, gave us suggestions, asked us if all was to our liking and we engaged in pleasant conversation, such a friendly and kind man.

The Shwarma Lamb Wrap was sensational. The taste was Devine and the portion was filling even without any chips or salad on the side.

The price might seem steep , for both dishes and a coke + orange juice ,the cost totalled at R256 I believe .

But I can promise you that it is worth it.

The setting, the food, the management, all top class.

I can highly recommend if you come alone for a quick bite, with a friend or with your SO / first date . Not to over the top and fancy but atmospheric and chilled vibes.

I will 100% be going back there again....

How I've known this place was from Castle Gate Mall when they opened there, then Busstop7 Open Air Market; a very friendly owner. So I ended up sitting here, in a better convenience seating area. It wasn't easy to look for particular Egyptian cuisine around Pretoria/Johannesburg anyway. We ordered a rice dish (open plate, rice & dip) and beef, which was lovely. The rice looked small in portion but it was filling. The dessert I picked was custard pyramid slice; whoa, it was yummy! I was expecting to get Konafa and Fiteer bread that time but they weren't available. Maybe next time, because we definitely will come back.
