A Culinary Journey to India!
Chennai Express Indian Restaurant in Randburg has become my go-to destination for an authentic Indian culinary experience. A few weeks ago, I actually went to Nagiah's to buy spices when I accidentally stumbled across this restaurant, and decided to give them a try. I had the pleasure of trying their Lamb Biryani, and it was nothing short of excellent. The lamb was tender, the rice fragrant, and the spices perfectly balanced – a true delight for the taste buds.
My culinary adventure didn’t end there. Yesterday, I ordered their Lamb Curry and was once again pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the food. The curry was flavourful, spices so well balanced, and that is a testament to the Chef’s expertise in Indian cuisine.
Today, I indulged in the ‘Friday Special’ – the Hyderabad Dum Biryani. It was as authentic as it gets, reminiscent of the Biryani I savored back when I lived in Bahrain in the Middle East which was prepared by chefs hailing from Hyderabad itself. Chennai Express has consistently managed to transport me to India with every meal I’ve ordered.
For consistently delivering exceptional dishes that are a true reflection of Indian culinary heritage, I am thrilled to rate Chennai Express Indian Restaurant with a well-deserved 5 out of 5 stars! If you’re seeking an authentic taste of India, Chennai Express is the journey you need...
Read moreI am pure Vegitarian, but here they do cater for vegetarian and Non-vegetarian also, but I don't recommend this place any of strictly Vegitarian people. Because they mix non veg and veg together all the time like cooking pots and cutleries and using the same hand without washing or changing gloves, taking the meat and Vegitarian items together. Using the same spoons 🥄 from non-veg to veg items.
This was my 1st time I went to pick up the food which is ordered from one of our family friends. When I went earlier, food wasn't ready, and they were busy packing the food, not separately.
The place fully fish 🐟 and meat smell won't be able to stand long and feel like vomiting. The chef and thr staf strongly consider their hygienic and have a bath dress up neat. The chef indian guy doesn't even wash his face, and his eyes wake up from bed and come to work straight.
I just collected the food and gave all the food the people in my street who those wanted.
I don't know about the quality and taste of non Vegitarian food, so i can't give comments for that. But I strongly do not suggest this place for any pure Vegitarian people and those who are worried about the hygienic and cleanest, etc... I won't even think to this...
