Came in as a party of 4 (3 adults, 1 infant). Not a busy night at all, 3 other tables (1 a group of 5), the other 2 were couples. Ordered a peach berry crush for myself. The rest of the party ordered normal soft drinks. Ordered a medium rare tagliatta steak for myself and 2 pizzas. Waited 40 minutes for drinks to arrive. When the peach berry crush arrived, it was a melted drink with ice cubes-not the usual slushie) Once pointed out, the manager took it away. Food hasn't arrived by this time. Steak arrives after an hour, fully cooked, no garnish, not sliced, no sauce. Pizzas still haven't arrived. Peach berry crush comes back, melted again, but this time it was crushed ice. Only after an hour 30 does the manager say the blending machine isn't working. Steak comes back again, still well done, no tomato garnish, no sauce on broccoli as asked. Pasta arrives chopped up instead of whole. At this point, 2 hours in, the entire party hasn't received drinks or food-infant included. The one couple that was seated and wasn't served left. Absolutely worst experience ever. Can never seem to get the take away pizzas right(incorrect toppings, toppings missing). How hard is it to make sure a pizza has tomato? Dont even get me started on balsamic or not. It's ridiculous. Was contacted by owner who promised the world (better service free pizza) only to disappoint again for this visit. Have to give it to the guy, the pizza WAS free in that we never received it. Absolutely damaging this once great franchise. Needless to say I will not be visiting/ordering again and recommend you get your Colcacchios fix elsewhere sadly. This ain't it.

It's a Friday night. 19:00. Super busy and vibey - music and plenty of full tables. It's a sign. We were immediately greeted and welcomed by the owner then taken to an area where we were served something to drink while waiting for our table. Led indoors to an open table. While we sat talking at our table and reading the menu, I watched the staff and owner. Operating, making things happen. Working as a team. Getting things done. Not a single moment of slackness or standing around. Food was good. Vibe was good. I made a point of telling the owner we had a wonderful time and it was a good experience to see how well he runs his restaurant. He told me he cant take credit, it's due to his excellent manager and staff. (And that's likely why he has such an exceptionally run restaurant - he knows how to manage). If you have a business of any sort and you want your own staff to see how to treat customers, take them for a meal at this particular restaurant on a busy night. It will be money very well spent for an experience of note!

We had a Fettuchini Alfredo, which wasn't on the menu but we're happy to accommodate. I found the menu to be not-the-norm so while it is great for something different, it was too much to take in for a quick stop-over lunch so we were grateful that they accommodated our order with a smile. The food came quickly, piping hot in hot bowls and it was delicious. The serving size was a bit too much for me but a too small for my companion so my companion had what I couldn't finish. Our waiter was amazing. He was on hand, happy to help and had a good sense of humour. I have, unfortunately, forgotten his name to give him the credit he deserves. The restaurant is nice and big and while it wasn't busy on a Sunday afternoon, the service was great and the vibe good.

What a terrible experience!!!

Where is the option for no stars??

What happened to the Northcliff branch?

Terrible terrible service - where does one start?

After waiting 15 Minutes we get to order drinks we were honoured to be served by the very “optimistic waiter”.

Starters arrive we ask for balsamic vinegar and olive oil for the greek salad….ask the waiter again - eventually stand up and start looking for it ourselves as the waiter can’t understand an instruction..

Later orders for dinner were taken and most of the table wanted Prawns and Seafood Pasta …. 10 Minutes later the waiter comes back to inform the table there is no prawns. Everyone scuffle and order something else…

I order Gluten Free pasta….

10 Minutes later - ooh sorry we can’t do Gluten Free Pasta. The Manager laughingly saying that they can’t find stock anywhere hahaha it’s that time of the year.

I took the opportunity to tell the Manager to inform his staff what is in or out of stock and he states they “usually” do that - after wasting 40 Minutes of everyones time… not to mention we hosted guests from the USA…

Drinks order again - waiting 20 minutes for one simple drink… asking multiple times and standing up from the table to ask the waiter to bring the drink.

Dinner arrives after an embarrassing episode for our American guests to witness…

9.Time for Coffee - order Cappachino with Almond milk - guess what … after a few minutes, surprise, surprise - NO ALMOND milk.

Time for dessert - Waiter suggests Panacotta. Good let’s give it a try … GUESS what … No strawberries to serve with the dessert (also no initiative to make something else up to serve with the Panacotta)…so then they cant make the dessert because of missing starwberries …

After that I just told the waiter to leave it and not even bother …….. honestly what a JOKE?

What terrible service is this?

The waiters are all long in the tooth not very eager to serve Customers..I can understand as it seems they taking the beating for such a badly mismanaged joint…

When did this place go down so quickly? What happened ?

Is there new owners who have no cooking clue how to run a restaurant?

What a half baked potato joke of a show!

No better way to say than in Afrikaans … sies dis slap!

An embarrassment...

As avid patrons of Col Cacchios Northcliff, my family and I have been frequenting this establishment for many years. Unfortunately, it is with a heavy heart that we must acknowledge the noticeable and drastic deterioration in both service and quality that has become apparent in recent visits.

Once known for its impeccable service and delectable meals, Col Cacchios has failed to maintain the standards that made it a favorite for us.

Moreover, the quality of the food served has drastically declined. Dishes that were once bursting with flavor and made with the freshest ingredients now appear lackluster and lack the finesse they once possessed nevermind ingredients that make the dish so delectable, being ommited with no form of communication.

Additionally, the decline in promptness and accuracy of service has been particularly disappointing. Waiting 45 minutes for a cocktail is unacceptable. Orders are often confused or delayed, leading to extended waiting times for both food and beverages. Such repeated instances have left us feeling frustrated and questioning the restaurant's commitment to delivering a satisfactory dining experience.

Despite our sentimental attachment to Col Cacchios Northcliff, we can no longer justify frequenting this establishment given the evident decline in both quality and service. It is with regret that we acknowledge the erosion of the once high standards that made this restaurant a favorite among us and many others.

We sincerely hope that the management takes notice of these issues and makes a concerted effort to address and rectify them.

Please note that this message is based solely on our personal experiences and observations. Other patrons' experiences may differ and personal...
