We arrived there early on friday night for a birthday celebration and already the patrons were streaming in by the crowds. This however didn't effect our waiting time for our order which was filled and prepared in descent time. The waitress was kind and attentive despite the crowd and noise. Our table was presented cleaned and sanitized by a staff member going around constantly sanitizing empty or recently vacant tables which I thought was a nice touch. The welcoming staff greeted us as if we were friends they haven't seen for a while and made us feel right at home even though it was our first time visiting. The restaurant was separated into three areas. A bar area with an umbrella porch and smoking area, unfortunately right at the entrance, an inside area with loft seating, well decorated ambiance and near to the rest room amenities which had a potent smell, and a spacious outside area with picnic tables which most patrons seemed to prefer as the building had no air conditioning. The food was well presented but fell short on taste. I ordered the 600g T-Bone, medium. The stirfry I didn't order tasted souerish but it might have been meant to taste that way, who knows. The basting on the steak fell short on being sweet or salty and either would have been a relieve as my steak was reare not medium and I struggled with the chewy bits. I ordered a salad with my steak and asked the waitress which kind of salad it would be, so she gave me a list of ingredients including feta. When the salad arrived at the table, again it was beautifully presented and the dressing was generous but the fetta was noting but two specks of smeared spots to the side of the plate, very disappointing. I was pleasantly surprised with the initial welcoming and presentation, even the sound of laughter and ambiance prepared me to expect a pleasant dinner experience but the feeling abruptly departed with the smell of the toilet that lingered as my tasteless food reminded me of a bad cook after a busy day at work. Maybe we will return to sample a different cut of steak or one of the other dishes on the menu. Maybe choosing a different seating area where the smell of disinfectant and urine doesn't rune my mood and an area where the sweat doesn't drip over my face in anticipation of an...
Read moreDisappointment is an understatement. Thanks for ruining my evening. Took my order salmon bruschetta only to find out after 8 other people at my table got their food served that they ran out of salmon. Changed the order to italian bruschetta, took so long I decided to cancel since I'm not going to sit between everyone else having finished their supper. In between waiter offers as an apology a dessert on the house? After I said how unpleasant it will be to eat by myself in this crowd. Anyway we got the bill which includes my salmon bruschetta, seriously? Went to the manager, sorry we ring up everything first, can't cancel, also said clearly I don't want a freebie, IwantwhatIordered, no lessnomore? Went to the gents, no paper towels, just the final straw. Asked the waiter to have them replenished. On the way out no manager to be seen, very disappointing experience tonight. Not sure if I will return, unless I have to, like tonight due to a business supper.

Read moreI heard a lot about this Crawdaddy's Montana and our first visit was a fairly good experience. However, on one of our datenights, we were not so lucky. It was on a Tuesday night, a quiet night, maybe four tables with people. I thought it to be the perfect night, as the kitchen staff had no rush and we were expecting a feast. We ordered a seafood platter for two and we were really hungry and looking forward to a great meal. It was a hot February evening so we were placed under a fan inlet. I saw the floor was dirty and mentioned it to the waiter on which he replied that he was sorry, but did nothing about it. Then our food came.... Everything was overcooked or slightly burned. No-one came to check on us to see if we were happy, until we were about done. We sent some last bites back to the kitchen to be re-heated, as the direct down draft from the fan chilled our food. We then complained about the food as we could not get the prawns out of the shells and the hake was burnt to the skin. When management eventually came to attend, we were promised they would sort out the problem with the chef and invite us for a re-do, famous last words..... No sign of them! After all this time, the owner has done nothing, zilch, to resolve this matter......
