This is the only Fishaways that delivers on the Mr Delivery app. We ordered a Hake and chips with calamari for 4 people. The fish pieces 4in the box where lovely albeit a bit small. The rest of the box was really disappointing. We got 7 pieces of calamari, not rings but small pieces, the chips portion was small and the rest of the box was full of rice. I'm not sure if we eat more than the average person but it would not have fed 4 unless one of the 4 preferred to eat rice rather than chips and calamari. Not what I would recommend as a good deal. If a lower star rating was possible it would have been given. We ordered 2 hake & chips, with tartar sauce and a side salad (coleslaw). The hake was the size of 4 fish fingers each, this is a kiddies’ portion (and a hungry kid would still be hungry). The chips, we counted them, 24 chips in total, of which 4 was either rotten or taken out of a bin. The tartar sauce, I have no idea what I got but best guess, mayonnaise mixed with the cheapest tomato sauce on the market. The coleslaw, although edible, was R26.95 (for 2 spoons of salad). Not directed at this branch. Fishaways in general. Trio family meal. Large chips. Large rice. Chips for one. Rice for five. Next time I'll find a corner shop. You can smell the fish and chips delivered in koerantpapier. Any chef would get upset when sachets are required for taste.
