What a disgrace!!!!!
First when I arrived a lady server came to my vehicle. No name tag so I had to ask for her name. So I then asked Gloria for the Sunday lunch menu. On the menu was an item called curried binjal (eggplant) and I asked her what binjal is because I am Afrikaans and do not know. She told me that it is curried carrots. What???? So it is not curried carrots nor was it curried binjal. It was extra hot peri peri binjal with no curry whatsoever.
There is no way that a young child or elderly person can eat food that hot. I myself had sweat on my forehead due to the extra hot peri peri of the binjal.
So the worst of it all was my meat. I had two pieces of beef meat that was burnt so bad that it was rock hard and that I could not eat it. The burnt pieces was placed at the bottom so that one do not see it immediately. The same thing with my extra portion of meat where I received two slices of beef and again the bottom one was burnt. Then on one of the burnt pieces of meat a hole was made in the middle. Why???
When my food was delivered there was no Gloria in sight and Pinkie delivered it hence the name on my receipt
I will not support you again due to the horrible quality of your...
Read moreI am absolutely delighted! Being a student, living independently presents numerous challenges, and one of them revolves around the quest for a well-cooked meal. Amidst the demands of tests and classes, not to mention our cramped kitchens, we are constantly yearning for the comforting dishes that remind us of home-cooked goodness.

Opting for their homestyle meals, I indulged in the chicken schnitzel and the beef roast. The quality and flavors exceeded my expectations, and the portions were more than generous—I was left thoroughly satisfied. In fact, the food was so incredible that I polished off both servings.
I wholeheartedly endorse this establishment. Not only was the staff incredibly friendly, but the service was also prompt...
Read moreI visited Lollipop Roadhouse on Sunday 13 July 2025.I have been coming to Lollipop Roadhouse since I was 10 years old , since 1985 and nothing has changed in terms of atmosphere and food.Over the years I mostly have stopped there for their ice cream which is great and good value for money. On Sunday I ordered for my family the meal special which included 4 burgers, large chips and a 2 liter pepsi cold drink all for R150.We really enjoyed sitting in the car and eating, somehow it is better than to sit outside at the tables on the side of the parking lot.I found their menu to be extensive and they have many meals and drinks available for a Roadhouse.I would highly recommend giving Lollipop Roadhouse a visit if you are in Pretoria, they still the original type of roadhouse and the fact that they have been there since 1935 says a lot, Well done to being around when so many roadhouses...
