This is an Indian restaurant that firstly serves average food but this not the real issue. The real issue is the owner/manager of this restaurant who is this lady (Indian, short black hair) who has the most horrendous attitude when servicing their customers. She's is not winning any personality contests or even miss congeniality contests. Even Sandra Bullock wins this one hands down. I kid you not, I was in this restaurant a few times (NOT of my choosing, believe me) where this happened: I tried to take chicken curry from the buffet and she would be run behind me and ask what I'm doing? I was inclined to reply that I was searching for Waldo, but alas she would interject and say "Don't stir the curry". She forced me to pick out individual pieces of chicken from the curry and put it in the plate as not to mess the artwork of coriander drifting on the top. I wasn't aware one couldn't stir curry. I wondered how anyone could eat this curry? I felt like the chicken in the pot. I was cooked beyond recognition.
My wife was trying to breastfeed in another room that led to art gallery. Granted kids were not allowed in but my wife had a sleeping baby in her arms. The manager forced herself in, told her that the baby mustn't touch the artwork. Well... maybe she saw it another movie where a sleeping baby miraculously started touching the artwork with her mind? None the less, she was so rude. Didn't even say please.
Another time, my wife was with our baby and another child in another area of the restaurant, and behold! There comes the manager... who asked that the kids don't touch the glasses as they had just been washed (note: the kids are small and cannot reach the glasses on the dining table). You can't make this stuff up folks!
This owner needs a life, she's rude and doesn't deserve to own a restaurant. She needs a life lesson in etiquette. I feel sorry for the man who married her. I hope he at least got to stir the...

We were met by a friendly lady who seated us by the waiting area. We made our order and upon getting the receipt my partner realised an error. He ordered chicken Briyani and not the lamb. He notified the friendly lady who apologized and rushed to the back to correct this then spoke to owner/manager (not sure who he is).
The lady walked over and my partner asked if he could get a coke or something for the R20 overcharge and she advised the cheapest item is R25. The owner came over, didn't even greet and said he can't do a reserval because he will get a bank charge, my partner said he isn't willing to incur the cost on his side because the error was on theirs. The man then walked away without saying anything else, I assume he left it to the lady to resolve. My partner told the lady to take it as a tip to avoid her getting into trouble over her mistake.
As a first time customer here, I am disappointed in how the man handled the situation. Service is important to the overall experience and in this instance it wasn't pleasant so I will never return. First and...
Read moreHi I ordered two dishes from Namaskar on Uber. I paid in excess of R500.00 for two dishes. I asked for some white sauce for my briyani because my wife struggles with spicy foods. I didn’t know that they charge extra for it and if they did they could have added it to my account no problem or tried to contact me or something instead they decided to just ignore my request over a white sauce that should be included with a briyani anyway. This totally changes the experience. I came back home after three years abroad and I have been sampling Indian food for the past week so a briyani without white sauce is like eating a toasted cheese without cheese. Sad very sad.
I had to edit my review and add a 5/5 for the food. Despite not getting my white sauce I couldn’t in good conscience leave a 1/5 without noting that the food is exceptional. The mutton curry was perfectly spiced and the meat was tender and juicy. The Roti was soft and it melted in my mouth. Every bite was heaven. I tried the Raj, woolies, Tarana and Uber eats market and as far as food is concerned Namaskar...
