I have tried logging a complaint via the app but it does not work and this is the whole reason for my complaint! I pre- ordered via the McDonald's delivery app on 2 March at 9:40am. I hosted a party the evening and requested for delivery at 19:15. At 19:46 I phoned McDonald's grey owl and they said their network is down and did not receive my order and kept saying I need to phone the people I ordered with which I kept explaining it was via the McDonald's app and they were the restaurant. She took my order number but then didn't take my calls anymore. My friend then called on her number and they answered and said we should try to cancel - there is no cancel option on the app. She then said we should make another plan and order another way. We then drove and placed the order in person. At 21:11 she phoned me to say that there is a delivery driver there to pickup my order and she asked if I still want it. I said no we made another plan as recommended. At 21:24 uber eats phoned and messaged me to confirm my delivery address. I notified them that I didn't order via uber eats (but I guess you are outsourcing this to them). I do not even have the uber eats app on my phone! I told them the order is too late and I cancelled it via phone with McDonald's grey owl - as there is NO way to cancel via the McDonald's app. The uber eats driver kept on calling me repeatedly which was very unpleasant as I was hosting an event. Uber eats only received my order more than 2 hours after I requested delivery - this means your pre-order function on the app does not work. The app is an absolute mess, the menu interface changes from tab to tab and there is no cancellation button. I pre-paid and I really hope it gets reversed. This ruined my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHad worst experience today.. went drive through lady taking order finished our order after first item without confirming thatās all we want..when I said we havenāt done she said come to the window.. she took our orders wrong replaced chicken with beef burger and also asked to remove meal she didnāt removed it.. she never repeated my order and ended paying items which I requested to remove. Went inside the Manager Sipho at the counter not even wishing⦠not even apologised for the mistake.. then I explained and he ended up refunding like he is giving refund from his own pocket.. asked him to check if my order delivered correctly.. he said yes but missing fries from a meal.. came back to my car and saw they gave beef burger instead of chicken.. went back again to change it and he saw me .. said something with his co workers in their local language which I donāt understand and they all laughing. I usually donāt review but their behaviour made me to write. Iām not going back that branch again rather will go to different branch where employees respect...

Went in for a meal, after I woke up the staff they eventually told me to go to the drive thru. Then bad turned to worse. Went to the machine and the staff member told me that they were closed for maintenance I must wait half an hour. I drove around to the parking, took out my phone and started to take a video recording. The staff all hurried to hide behind the counter, that some of them were sleeping on. The security guard approached me and I told him to tell the staff they are being filmed. He locked the door behind him and also hid behind the counter. Went around again and they said to wait another hour, had to drive another 15km to the next Macdonald's. Really disgusting standards by this franchise I've been to Macd's on 4 continents and some also in developing countries never have I seen such a mess. I believe the Macdonald's company will not tolerate...
