A few years back when I was in the area my then girlfriend, now wife asked me to meet here at this Mcdonalds outlet. I sat at one of the tables then some guy that carried himself like the owner sent a waiter to tell me that I could not sit there unless I placed an order. I politely told her that I was waiting for someone so I was going to order when she arrived. She relayed the message then the guy rudely rejected my request and said I should order or leave. I called my girlfriend and explained the situation so I was forced to place an order then pay immediately. I then asked that the food be served when she arrived in 30 minutes or so but the guy was having none of it so he ordered them to serve the food immediately. He then called a bouncer from the strip club across the road then they started having a conversation while watching me. My wife eventually arrived then they wouldn't warm our food. She reluctantly took a few bites until she couldn't bear the torture any longer so she asked that we rather go to better restaurants at Eastgate Mall because the service there was so pathetic. While we were still discussing our next move the waiter came and took our plates which we interpretted as a suggestion for us to leave as all this was done under the glaring eye of this rude guy. We left without causing a scene but I now HATE Mcdonalds especially that...
Read moreFirst of all i come from the hospitality industry and it's sad to see 'Supposedly' leaders taking charge of such a huge establishment and misrepresent it completely. I got great service from the cashier but Thuli who happens to be a team leader has no business leading the team. I injured a couple of weeks ago and I kindly asked for a brown pack to put my two kiddies meals which come in boxes so I could manage to carry. She blatantly refused and I mentioned the exceptional service I always get from your Eastgate branch. She replied "Thank you for telling me". My advice to Thuli is this industry is all about being humble and giving service to the fullest and appreciate all who come to support the brand. Don't be a bad apple as you will spoil the...
Read moreI'm truly disappointed that it has come to a point where I have to write a bad review. this is out of my nature because I understand that we are all human and people make mistake. However, to make the same mistake 4 times to the same person is surely a sign of neglect. 4 times on different occasions I have ordered a double chilli cheese meal from Hillbrow Macdonald's and 4 times they have given me the wrong order, giving me some tomato sauced burger. Unfortunately for them I always open my burger before biting into it. 4 times I had to take it back to exchange it for the right order. I guess its my fault for believing that the next time they would get my order right. Am I going to have to open my burger in store before they get my...
