I have never been so disappointed with such extreme appalling service that I received from McDonald’s Midrand, im still in shock of how I got my order after waiting for over 40 minutes. Yesterday (27.08.2024) I bough a meal through Uber eats thinking I will just collect and be on my way. I expected the store and the drive through to be populated due to the timing of the month. I immediately received a message that my order was ready, to my surprised I went there and waited. The place was not not even busy but was made to wait by the uber collection area. I asked what the delay was, there was no response, just ignored as they though I was possibly a food delivery person 30 minutes after waiting I asked for the manager, and was shown to the lady who was just walking around ignoring us by the name of Sbongile, I asked her where the delay was, she cam ena d clicked licked and left. At some point there was nobody buying but was just ignored till I informed her that im not an uber driver and if she thinks I will let it go, I will not. Disgusted does nt even meet the extent of how I felt. Just imagine been treated like this as a customer just because you think im just another driver. This is how the country is pulled back by people without management skills. Imagine the staff apologising for her but at that time she has not reacted nor felt any remorse. imagine the amount of time i would faced by just not buying and the traffic i would not have sat into. Absolutely the worst McDonald I have ever been to. I live in the building right next to this McDonalds and visited it a few months ago and was highly disappointed.

Service is extremely slow (it’s called fast food for a reason), staff customer service is disappointingly unsatisfactory and the food isn’t what it used to be (especially for the price).

Decided to go yesterday and my husband and I were 1 of 3 customers (the other 2 customers ordered before we arrived). Customer 1 went over the counter and got his own food since no one attended to him. Customer 2 made the same complaint and left very disappointed. After 15 minutes, we asked about the status of our order ( ONLY 2 milkshakes ) and were told to be patient and we could leave if we wanted. When the milkshakes did arrive, they were the wrong flavour and size and had to wait an additional 5 minutes for the right order.
