Would give less than 1 star if it were possible.
We’ve given this McDonald’s more than enough chances, visited over 6+ times. Every visit has been a letdown. Though this is the closest McDonald’s to us, we’d rather drive to Wonderboom or Zambezi.
1st Visit: Arrived at 6:45 AM, only to be told breakfast only starts at 7:00 AM. Most people leave for work before then... this makes no sense. I've had breakfast at Pretoria North earlier than this.
2nd Visit: Tried to order Chilli Cheese Tenders, but was told they had no jalapeños and we should "just take chicken and add sauce ourselves." Left disappointed again.
3rd Visit: No coffee available after 10PM.
4th Visit: Finally got coffee at 7PM — waited far too long, and it was cold. Even my brother (new to the area), who ordered before us, expressed his disappointment.
5th Visit: Got coffee again — still cold and completely tasteless.
6th Visit: Could barely hear the staff over the intercom. Meanwhile, a customer at the front was shouting at the cashier, clearly frustrated too.. Reversed and went to Wonderboom, very satisfied with the service.
This is, without question, the worst McDonald’s we’ve ever visited. And no, being “new” isn’t a valid excuse. We’ve been to other new drive-thrus (including Burger Box right next door), and the difference in service is massive.

Upon arriving at the payment window, I was not initially instructed to scan my code, and when I attempted to do so, the scanner was not functioning because the till was not switched on. I was then asked to provide an M number, but this did not resolve the issue either.
I expressed my concern to the cashier that my code might expire, but I was reassured that it wouldn’t be a problem. However, when I proceeded to the payment window, I found it locked, and the cashier was struggling to open it—indicating that it had not been in use at all that day. The manager then advised me to return the next day, which was unacceptable given that I was already there and ready to make my purchase.
This experience was highly frustrating, and the lack of preparedness and professionalism from the staff was disappointing. As a loyal customer, I expect better service and efficiency. Unfortunately, due to this incident, I will be taking my business to another location, as I do not wish to repeat this experience.

I recently visited this Mac Ds drive-thru and was extremely disappointed with my experience. After waiting in line for a considerable amount of time with just one car in front of me, I received a half-packed chicken foldover that lacked tomatoes and had insufficient lettuce. To make matters worse, the chicken was dry.
I had specifically requested to upgrade my fries to chilli cheese fries, but when I received them, there was no cheese sauce – only jalapeño pieces. This was not what I had asked for, and it added to my disappointment.
I hope the restaurant takes steps to improve their drive-thru service, food quality, and attention to customer requests.
Suggestion: Make sure you have a well trained staff. Double-check orders before handing them over to customers, and ensure that upgrades are...
