Went with my family because they had seen a beyond burger the menu last time they ate here (I am vegan). I was told there was no beyond burger, which is fine, but I asked the waitress if there are any other alternatives to cater for a vegan and she simply said no. Quite disappointed and wanted to leave at that point, but I didn’t want my family to have to go through the trouble because of me. I happened to find a salad that contained feta so I asked to swap feta for mushrooms. Waitress said that was fine but when the bill arrived, I was surprised to see that I was charged R30 extra for mushrooms. If you are vegan and you’ve been to places without vegan options you probably know mushrooms are the go-to swap. I asked the waitress and she said that mushroom is more expensive than feta (which to my knowledge is untrue). I have been to mug n bean and did the exact same replacement and was not charged for it. I wish I was told when I ordered that it would be an extra fee and that waiters were educated on dietary restrictions to provide some care and options. I’ve been to many non vegan places where waiters and staff showed interest in making it work to...
Read moreWe have had brunch and dinner here several times, since the end of hard lockdown during the Covid-19 pandemic. Clearly, management pays detailed attention to the meticulous training of staff. We have only had best quality meat from the kitchen, cooked exactly to preference. Side portions vegetables are generous and tasty. Happy hour is also indeed really happy, super treat! On the single occasion that we had been served Don Pedros with Kahlua instead of Jameson as per our order, a very professional manager, Quinton, was at our table within minutes, resolving the issue in the most hospitable and efficient manner. Kudos also to top waitron Lauren, who is pro-active, attentive, friendly, and entirely professional. I would recommend Moo Moo any day. Superb service, food and...
Read moreI gave it 1 star because I can’t give you guys a zero. I came there with my boyfriend and almost half of the waiters were gossiping and laughing about us. We tipped the waitress (she’s a bit old and has a Shona accent with short hair that she’s trying to make dreadlocks out of) 10% and she went ahead and laughed about it with her fellow employees while pointing at us. And not to speak about how the lady with spectacles kept looking at us. If your establishment caters for a specific kind of people, please do mention, we will respect and honour that by keeping away. Please don’t be surprised because a TikTok video will be out speaking about your establishment. I’m 110% sure that many other people experienced the horrible service from these gossip mongers here at MooMoo...
