Ocean Basket Springs Gate — Restaurant in Gauteng

Yesterday we went shopping in Benoni and wanted to have lunch, after trying 2 different restaurants and we were highly disappointed, we decided to head back to our hometown Springs and went for lunch at Ocean Basket at Springs Gate. What a fantastic experience from the time we walked in until we left. Staff is very presentable, restaurant is immaculately clean and beautiful, tables are clean, menus are clean and not sticky. Simphiwe was our waiter and what a charming man he was. From the moment we sat down until we left, he looked after us and did his job with such pride and friendliness. We really felt at home. I'm so disappointed in the service at OB Springs Gate..Myself and my family arrived the at 4pm on the 16th July 2025..that is about 30min ago.We sat there waiting to assistance for 15min. A waiter then came and we asked for a menu and he never returned.My husband then called another waiter who was assisting at the table opposite us and he took our order by head and said he will tell the other waiter and he said that everyone else was busy So we yet again waited for another 15min Still Noone attended to us,no menu given.No waiter coming through to attend to us.We decided to get up and leave

I went to OB Springs Gate on my way home after a horrible day of load shedding every where I have been... I was greeted with friendly faces, the door was opened for me and I was assisted immediately upon walking in. My order was executed to my specifications and I was super impressed with the service. Food was cooked well it was tasty and all the trimmings was in my take-away container that you would get on a plate. Our food was still warm when I arrived home due to the silver container design.
