On Sixth — Restaurant in Gauteng

Latest review of my third visit. Friday 23 September I gave you another chance. I am afraid that I can no longer support this restaurant, despite the food being good. We were 8 at the table. We arrived at 6 and had to wait 4 1/2 hours for our main meal to arrive. This is absolutely shocking and is ridiculous to say the least. We were the last to leave the restaurant at 11.00 at night after waiting so long. If you didn't automatically add the tip to the bill, there wouldn't be any tip. The Manager apologized for the wait but it still didn't help any. He was certainly not interested is getting our order out any quicker as I spoke with him 3 times about it. People came in after us and were served long before us. A free short cocktail doesn't fix the long wait. We spent R3500.00 that night and will never go there again as you just can't get it right. Second time we have had poor experience here. Same problem as last time. Food takes forever to be brought to the table. The salmon ordered was raw. The refired salmon took another 30 minutes to be served. By then the rest of the table were finished with their meal. Sorry and smiles from the management is not good enough. Especially since I asked them not to mess up again...

Stunning all the way from the decor...eish let me start afresh.

from the parking to the door you're greeted with a calm exterior and the warmest reception.

walking through the front doors feels like nostalgic as though it's your friends home.

the dining spaces are fully open plan however you don't feel like you're in a hall. furniture just right I would also favor comfort over Schick anyday.

hmmmmmmmm....drinks. Beer just right local and craft on tap. Cocktail and juices enough to raise the water level of the pecific lol. no it's not a drinkers den however drinkers can take the family, friends and colleagues...for some of us its more like a designated driver.

lastly...the food. I could not for all my taste sensational description about how tender soft and juicy intact the sirloin its almost fillet. Omg the fillet must melt in your mouth. more than generous portions will have you wanna binge eat than take a doggy bag.

we are certainly going back and having another mouth watering meal that will Havre the manager come check if we are ok or lost it eating, smiling trying hard to swallow while ooooohhhhwing and nyum...

Great service and food. Waitress went out of her way to assist us without overdoing it. Average restaurant priced but above average food taste and quality. (January 2022) A year and another one or two visits later.. I'm adding to my previous review. We went there in late November-22. We ordered starters and constantly had to request service for everything and managed to speak to the manager, and three waiters during this time. The main meal took so long that we didn't even eat there and took it all home. The food is good but the service on that day was probably the worst we ever experienced. One of our guests even went to the manager to request service at one stage. When we left the owner wasn't available and the manager was standing outside by a vehicle (think it was a white BMW) and chatting to somebody. I hope this review will be taken seriously and looked at because this could be one of the best restaurants if the service is improved. It seems it is not the first complaint...
