Well it seems that people just can't do anything right.
I booked a table for my parents 21st wedding anniversary on Monday the 19th of August for tonight 20th of August 2025, Wednesday. I paid for their meals, drinks and included a tip based on the trust that the service would good as expected from Piatos.
Apon arrival they were told there is no booking and the table was never reserved as earlier customers occupied the table. Which tells me there is no communication in this shop. In an industry where service has lacked in the last 10 years as a business you can not afford this kind of irregularities. Funny story 😂 😂 all 3 of us are from this industry and know what it takes to deliver good food with good service. We had a saying back in the day, good service can compliment bad food, but bad service can't compliment good food. I'm very upset about this and it's the second time at Piatos Farrarmere that they've had a bad experience.
I truly hope this will be rectified with the utmost professionalism, I would rate a negative - 5 stars if the option was available. Not acceptable

Read moreShocking. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU CARRY ENOUGH COLD HARD CASH TO PAY FOR YOU BILL. Should they have "load shedding" their machines will not work!!!!! You will be asked publicly to leave this restaurant to go and draw the money at one of the two rather doggy looking ATM's across, the the dark almost deserted parking lot at night. A waiter at the door will accompany you if you ask. Now should these doggy machines decide to not give you money, Well then you are up the creek without a paddle!! This happened to me... And the management were less than helpful. (Surely the management if they were vaguely interested in their customer would put up signs so that you know they have a cash only policy if there is load shedding. Then a very angry customer would not have to do it for Piatto Farrarmere. But then looking at customers comments, service is not so important any more. Sadly just six moths ago we had a magical evening here, delicious food and excellent service. So for my wife's 58 birthday, this was a logical choice. The food was not much better than you would get from any steak house. Management less than helpful. Thank you for destroying my wife's birthday.... I will never be back. The only truly excellent part to this evening was the waitress that served us, removing plates, perfectly...
Read moreI felt like a celebrity. First because people were pointing and complimenting my beard and secondly of how we were treated by our waitress. Then we couldn't decide what to eat so we went for Chicken breast linguini and a pizza to share. Was this one of the best meals I've ever had...the pasta was cooked to absolute perfection, the sauce of the linguini complimented the chicken breast basting and the pizza was nice and fluffy. Even this morning when I put the leftover pizza in the microwave for 1 min it was still fluffy and delicious. We enjoyed it so much that we went back the next evening again. Keep it up guys. Well done. Last night however the experience was not so good. We ordered water with ice and hot water without lemon. We got water without ice and hot water with lemon. Asked for the pasta to be cooked a bit longer. Got pasta not properly cooked and very little sauce as the pasta was dry because of it. Waiters don't check up on clients and cluster at the front door. Consistency in staff training I would say is the key...
