A Hidden Gem That Keeps Calling Us Back – Monthly Wine Pairing Perfection at Prosopa We’ve made it a monthly tradition to visit Prosopa for their exceptional wine pairing evenings, and each visit continues to exceed expectations. The food is nothing short of spectacular—artfully plated, rich in flavor, and thoughtfully paired with wines that elevate the entire experience. The staff are warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate, always making us feel like welcome regulars. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, creating the perfect setting for a memorable night out. Prosopa has mastered the balance of fine dining with heart—highly recommend for anyone who loves good food, great wine, and top-tier hospitality. A big thanks to Dino (your most gracious host ever), Moses (the man who knows wine), Wesley (the man who knows how to treat you as if you are royal) and all of the staff that always makes us feel like VIP’s

I had the pleasure of dining at Prosopa Restaurant in Pretoria, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made us feel right at home. The service was top-notch - our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. But the real star of the show was the food. Oh, the food! Each dish was expertly prepared, presented, and packed with flavor. I opted for one of the specials, and it was love at first bite. What impressed me most was the attention to detail and the care that clearly goes into every aspect of the restaurant. From the beautifully crafted decor to the carefully curated wine list, everything about Prosopa screams quality and passion. If you're looking for a truly exceptional dining experience in Pretoria, look no further than Prosopa Restaurant. I'll definitely be back!

Just got back from an amazing date night with my wife at Prosopa, and it was fantastic! The atmosphere was elegant yet cozy, perfect for a relaxed evening out. We shared the meze tapas platter for two, and every bite was absolutely delicious. It was the perfect way to sample a variety of their dishes, and we loved every bit of it. To top it off, I tried their Smoke and Fire cocktail, and wow—what an experience! The smoky presentation was impressive, and the flavours were perfectly balanced with just the right kick. Definitely a must-try if you’re looking for something unique. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff who made us feel welcome from start to finish. Pair that with a great wine selection and a warm, intimate setting, and it made for a truly memorable evening. Highly recommend Prosopa for a special night out—we’ll definitely be back!

😡 Extremely Disappointing Pre-Visit Experience with Prosopa Restaurant I am writing this review to express my profound disappointment, not with the food or ambiance of Prosopa Restaurant in Pretoria, as I haven't actually been there, but with the shockingly poor customer service I've received while trying to purchase a simple gift voucher for my clients. Five days ago, I paid for a voucher for my clients to enjoy a meal at what I hoped would be a high-quality establishment. Since then, despite numerous emails and phone calls—all including proof of payment—I have been left completely in the dark, still waiting for the voucher to be issued. If this is how Prosopa treats someone trying to give them money and introduce potential new guests, I honestly have no desire to ever visit myself. This initial interaction is a massive red flag. While I'm sure many other guests have had wonderful experiences, my current dealings suggest a concerning level of disregard for communication and basic administrative efficiency. Dino, I am talking to you. I truly hope someone at Prosopa sees this review, prioritizes sending me the paid-for voucher immediately, and ensures that my clients—should they choose to still go—are treated to a meal and experience that is far better than the one I've had so far. Frankly, only a truly exceptional client experience at your establishment will turn this negative administrative nightmare into something worthwhile. This is simply not acceptable business practice. #prosoparestuarant bad review...

Reserved a table for two for a romantic dinner. On arrival there was a private function with a live band celebrating a graduation. Which is fine if I would've been informed. The music was so loud that we could hardly hear each other or the waitron. The waiter could not tell how long the music would continue. We decided to have a drink in the hope that the music would at least be turned down as background music. However the party got louder. There was no beer on tap. When I asked for options Windhoek Light was part of the selection. I was surprised as I thought the brand was not available anymore, so I ordered it. The professional waiter poured it and when I looked at the bottle it has expired in August 2022.

On requesting to see Dino, one of the other managers approached our table. He was very apologetic about the situation and said that the party "was only organized yesterday" (which I don't believe). But still on confirming our reservation this morning we were not informed. My advice... if you have a whole section of your restaurant booked out with a live band, either informed your clients or close it to the rest of the public. The waiter was good, the manager acted professional but unfortunately we had to leave after our drinks... as did the tables either side of us. We did make another reservation in the hope to find a more upper class experience and enjoy...

This USED to be my best restaurant... Sadly no more.... I hope this review serves to be constructive‼️‼️ AND you go back to good business and diners sense.

Why the heck mess with what was NEVER broken???

THE HALLMARK OF SUCCESS IS CONSISTENCY... boring but critical. It saddens me but here is why. I ONLY ever ordered the mezze, and promoted this tirelessly, until now. Our 2 person mezze has shrunk to a pedestrian mushroom rounded plate blah appeal.

Whatever happened to the stunning white square dining wear‼️‼️‼️ Too many greek parties??? . 101 of Dining presentation ARE white plates. I digress the biggest issue IS the below average mezze presentation.

2 Dolmades, 1 pita quarted, 2 rice balls (greek‼️?) 2 lamb meatball I personally found inedible. 3 and half eggplant fries, 2 small, slightly larger than an egg cup holders. One with average bland tatziki, and skordalia. Both garnished with tired parsley leaf WHY Serve with a bamboo mini spatula????. NO houmous NO baba ganoush, ☹️☹️. Deeply dissapointing. I won't be back. None of the items are high end. We talking eggplants and chickpeas.... REALLY...... You can save more money offering homemade tasty falafels Your staff carry you but your present mezze will chase business away. You should work on rerepresenting fabulous greek food.. Not some sad...
